When I decide to watch a thread....

I wish that the e/mail sent to me would only be that someone else has posted...and not everytime "I" post on it.
Because even when I post on it, it will send me a e/mail telling me that there is a new post to that thread. Wonder if there is a way?? Does this make any sence? maybe I should explain it this way, When I decide to "Watch a Thread" have it send me a e/mail telling me that someone else has posted to it...but "Not" when I post on it. Does anyone else know what I am talking about?? Would this help anyone besides me??

Yes, this makes perfect sense. The thread watcher should not mail you when YOU post to it, just as the forums should not show a "Yes" (new?) when you were the most recent poster.

In fact, I have on my TODO to do more changes to the watcher, to make it even better (and with a richer feature set) than it is right now. When I make this re-write, I will make it behave correctly regarding ones one posts.

Oh, Dave, I hope we don't wear you and Trish out with all these requests. I had thought the same thing about the watched threads, so it's good to know you were already working up a new feature. I just don't understand how you do it, do you guys sleep at the puter?

When I am watching threads,(and sometines there are sevral), I just go to the top one on the email list and check it out, you can see the number of postings there are to that one, then I delete the rest if they are for the same thread. I keep deleting til I see one for a different thread and so on. Many times I just ignore the next email after I have posted because I know it's only me. I agree, we don't need to be notified when we post.
