You're very welcome. This is something that I've had on my TODO for a very long time, and just now got to it. I'm thrilled to have it.

Tonight was Journal programming night. Unfortunately, I wasted 3 hours of it bumping a dead-end wall on a certain feature (cloning) I was trying to introduce. :( The bad part is, I REALLY REALLY need that feature. Go check out the other whatsnew entry for Feb 2 to see the specifics of this feature.

Hmmm.....cloning, that sounds interesting. It would save a lot of typing time! I did notice the search feature on the GJ. That's great. Next question: Is it possible on the Search Page, (where you search forums and members seedlists, to add a search the journals of only members that have public viewing marked? The reason I ask, you might need some seed starting information or ideas from other people who have started that particular seed. You could find out what methods work or don't work. It would be another learning and information sharing tool.

Yeah I definitely have it in my TODO to put in this search feature. It'll get done fairly soon.

I just knocked another thing off of my TODO list. I added "the Dial" radio player to my web site. Just what I need, another reason to stay online just to listen to the radio! LOL! But it's neat. These aren't midi files. It broadcasts just like a radio. You can decide if you want to use Windows Media Player or Real Player. You can also decide what you listen to such as oldies, modern pop, classical, etc.

Guess I'll be online all day! Good thing I have Callwave!

Hey Sharon - I know you read the whatsnew page, but I thought I'd let you know here as well...

I finished the cloning tonight, as well as adding journal searches to the main search page.! See the whatsnew for more details. This cloning feature was one of the most time-consuming tasks I've ever done for DG, and you have no idea how happy I am that it is finished and working.

However, if you find any bugs please let me know right away!

I made a clone already and so far I didn't come across any bugs. But the clone feature has sure given me some ideas for some changes to my journal. I know the time you spent programming this feature will really pay off. I'll be making good use of it and I know you will too.

The search feature for the journals will come in handy too. It gives everyone easy acess to information. I've got 5 books and 2 software programs for reference material. But searching the journal really gives me access to real life ways to do things, what works and what doesn't work. Being able to email that person with questions right from their journal could come in handy too.

I've been here all morning using the clone feature. I didn't have any problems with it. So many wonderful traders send more seed than I could ever use. I'm starting seeds for family and friends, too. I set up a new category/subcategories for them. I used the clone feature a LOT without problems.

Glad to hear it Sharon! I haven't used the clone feature in production yet (only in testing) but I have several that I need to clone about 10 times (propogated cuttings, etc).

Let me hear those suggestions for the journal. It's my favorite feature of DG.
