GMA - Said this could be the storm of a life time. It going to come up the East Coast & take a right hook. ughhh
Weather In Your Garden # 122
Ohio is waiting to see how much we will feel from that right hook.
currently 55, rain coming later today.
Supposed to be sunny & 65....right now, very cloudy & 55.....
looks like the rain is starting.
Around here odds seem to be 50/50 of a direct hit somewhere between Norfolk, VA and south NJ.
Major power outages across a huge area could effect elections. Early voting in Maryland begins tomorrow but Virginia (one of those swing states) does not have early voting. Neither state nor DC have good storm outage recovery records!
52°& partly cloudy I feel for the people, but also the migrating birds on Cape May. Should collect loose pots etc around the garden.
we've had 0.6" of rain since 10 am. sounds like Sandy is going to reach this far next week.
oh lovely! the weather guy just said the cold front that's passing me now is going to murge with Sandy and come back at us. Not helpful for anyone!
Mice = They came, In the bathroom & chewed washclothes and peed & pooed, they headed to the kitchen did the same, and then they went into my kitchen drawers and chewed a rubber spatula. All in 2 days!
Me's thinks they are feeling a weather Phenomenon coming and are getting comfy. NOT - 5 went graveside.
Sherrie we love those electric traps.. no mess to deal with.. and no need to reload.. no chance to get the bait
we are pulling the display down
:(
abc news just said if you flooded with Irene.. you will flood again.. UGH
Was wondering about your display, Allison. What a bummer.
Oh sorry Allison.
Wind is very inconvenient. Will watch the birdfeeder.
Have to make sure all my gutters are clear.
Yep, that's my job for tomorrow....the gutters have covers on them, but garbage has gotten in...lovely....Allison, that's just awful!

That stinks Allison
I hate mice(in the house) Allison with those electric traps don't you still have to clean up the dead body?
It was cloudy all day on the warm side and you can feel the humidity starting to climb
flip the top and dump.. no guts at all.. so much better.. and no chance of chewing a leg off and bloodying up the house
What an odd post to read out of context!
hee hee
Oh, Allison, what a bummer!!!
Get a cat!
hubby hates cats
Even better!
Decon in the basement away from other animals.
46 and rainy. 1.4" in the rain gauge this am.
54 & sunny Seems to be very little wind.
cloudy wind is picking up
Cloudy, warm, calm before the storm......plug-in the wall electronic mouse alarms are the way to go....have not had 1 mouse in the basement since plugging them in several years ago!
I have those but you have to have 1 on every level in the house I don't have a outlet in the attic so that's where I get them
My son is battling squirrels in his attic.....
Gotten a couple down in the basement lately.
Hooboy!! Depending on the track it looks like we are going to get hit. Today was eerily calm!!! Warm.
Sorry about you folks in NJ. We will have wind & some rain, but I think mostly it will affect boat owners here & people on barriers like Plum Island north of us.
Ct is going to have very high winds, not too much rain....the coast is evacuating by 6 tomorrow.....
Jan will prob be hit hardest.
I'm not listening, blah, blah, blah. If I have my fingers in my ears I can't hear you right? right?
Jeff's sister and DH as well as their daughter and her hubby are staying put in Ocen City, NJ. The building they are in did very well during the storm of 62. Praying they haven't been foolish!
Hey guys, I was looking at the "wingspan" of this monster and realized it would most likely affect everyone here on NE DG. Just wanted to stop in and say to everyone to stay safe!
yes, but hold on in Jersey.
I bet the Tigers feel like a hurricane hit, down 3-0.
