Debra, enjoyed seeing your awesome blooms. You have quite a green thumb and garden. I'm not good a putting names on mgs but I do recognize quite
a few of your other blooms which I have also grown. All beautiful blooms.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Helena, Love all your Salvias, one of my favorites too.

I'm not sure of the id on your mg vines but all are gorgeous Debra. Beautiful Impatiens and Salvia
you have going .Lovely Jamie lynn, Tree mg and that last pale blue in your last set of pics is a wonderful bloom.
Hope you have a safe trip to pick up your sister.

Pretty blooms Jackie. All have nice colors.

Neat ivy blooms Debra. I can relate to having vines growing up the walls, there's a few that now I wish I hadn't planted.

Decided to take a pic of all 3 blooms together. First looks like Star of India, 2nd was supposed to be pink but is lavender and third bloom chocolate silk.
Watched 3 hummers trying to claim this feeder non stop, just left of the feeder.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

awwww love that shot of your hummers! I can't get mine to come to the feeders.. they go to the plants. I wish they would come to the feeder on the kitchen window.. what is your mix? maybe mine is not right?

I love your trio, Helena.. I hope I get some seeds of my star of india this year, it quit blooming, maybe when sister is here we can look for seeds..

Gautier, MS

Thanks Debra. My mix is 4 cups of boiled water and 1 heaping cup of sugar. Right after boiling the water I measure it and add to sugar, then let it cool before I fill the feeders. I know you will love having your sister with you.

Deb, I like the light purple purp too.
I have never seen the blooms on an Ivy. Yours must be getting good culture to get it to bloom.
I like it. :-)

Pretty blooms Helena.
Beautiful Star of India.I love your pics of the hummers, great pics.
Your purp is a gorgeous color.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie. I am enjoying my hummers.

That's a beautiful bloom Jackie. It looks like George Strait?

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Helena, yes George Strait yesterday. I'm going to mark this vine which is the one making the purple blooms.
I don;t think it started out with purple. :-)

Gautier, MS

I thought my G S had neat blooms this year too.

I only have repeats this morning. Found tiny worms munching on the leaves of mgs inside gh.

Here's a pink one with light leaves.

Thanks Jackie. Your blooms are beautiful. Pink tie dye heminds me of Hanafuhubuki.

I had at least 3 nice new blooms today.

First with no label a dark blue with light blue stripes.
2nd is supposed to be Plum delight, colors are better in person.
3rd a pink star.
4rth is supposed t be morning storm-not.
A nice dark chocolate.

Thanks Helena.
I love all your blooms today. That 1st blue is a beauty, I love it
and Pink Star too
Your Morning Storm not reminds me of the one I had a few yrs ago. Do you think yours is from my sds?
My orig sds came from Becky I think. I'll try to find my pic
Big, pretty Dark Chocolate
Helena, I'm so glad you have new blooms open as mine are starting to bloom out.

Look what the cooler temps, 55 the last 2 nites, has done to my Purple George Strait, boggles
my senses. :-)

I love this Crimson Rambler

Thumbnail by patootie Thumbnail by patootie
Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie. I love your G S and rambler. That's still some nice blooms.

I'm glad I got a few new blooms and maybe one or 2 more tomorrow. If I hadn't checked the other side of the yard I might have missed them. That morning storm seed came from Becky and Plum Delight from seeds I had bought from Emma. So I'll be testing some more seeds to see what I get.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Helena, Yes Becky shared Morning Storm with me too. It was a beautiful glory.
I loved my George Strait blooms this morning, the prettiest blooms on it so far.

I don't have a clue for this one, perhaps Aogakiyama x Choc silk

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Wow, Jackie that is nice!

Gautier, MS

Jackie, I agree, love that beautiful color.

A few new ones this morning.

A light pink, no label.
A mauve splash from Beckys seed.
Blue and lavender, not pink as per label.
A blue with streaks, no label, the date. I had quite a few mystery seeds.
Dark blue with light blue, same vine as yesterday.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Wow, look at all the beautiful blooms!
I have a few of the normal white and pinks blooming, but the flowers keep getting smaller and smaller. Guess they are just about done for the year?

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Ronnie and Helena.

Love all your new blooms this morning Helena.
The dark blue and light blue is so pretty. One of my favorites now.

Linda, if you're having cooler nites, could be thats the reason and they might still bloom for a while yet.
My Youjiros are getting smaller but not the Purps

Our temps are about mid 90's for the day, and low 70's at night!

Gautier, MS

Jackie, I love your gorgeous blooms especially the last 2. I agree, it doesn't look like Pres. Bush, also a little smaller than Blushing Bride but that could be due to the temps. Still beautiful.

Jackie, I'm looking forward a bloom from my Blue Marble Not beije seed. The bud right now looks light so I'm expecting a light bloom but I'll be sure tomorrow.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Helena, looking forward to your bloom from the beige sd of Blue Marble Not. Even if it turns out to be
a light colored bloom. I bet it will still be a beauty.

No Mai today, 3 different blooms

Thumbnail by patootie
Gautier, MS

Awesome blooms and picture of no Mai Jackie!

My Blue Marble not turned out to be a very faint Blue Silk. The green stem gave me a glue that the bloom was going to be light.
Maybe that was one of the parent that was crossed to get the dark blooms, who know!

Another nice bloom from a medium lavender with light lavender stripes.

Karens2005 mauve mix

Pale pink

No tag, not sure which it is. I found quite a few inch tiny baby worms eating leaves of the mgs, got the bloom a bit on this one.

Lovely blooms Helena. The light Blue Marble Not could produce a completely diff bloom when it blooms
the 2nd time. 1st bloom not always a true indication
The Purple/Lav Tie Dye type is very pretty,
Your Mauve Mix from Karen reminds me of how my 1st Pres Bush blooms looked a few yrs ago.
Love the colors.

I like your Pale Pink and the Youjiro too. I've had problems with the tiny inch worms too.

Look at this No Mai finally looking like my orig blooms several yrs ago.

No Sora, I;'ve enjoyed these a lot and hoping to restock my sd supply
Lovely Purple Tie Dye

Helena, your last bloom looks like it could be a pretty Purple Fuji instead of Youjiro

Linda, I don't know about your blooms. Its plenty warm there so maybe they are blooming out sensing the shorter day length
I guess you could try some fertilizer and see if it helps. Our temps have warmed back up here so my Youjiros are larger blooms again.

Had this pretty Youjiro today.

Choc Silk

1st bloom on Blue Sazanami, a strange looking bloom for sure, lol

Beautiful Jackie. I like all your blooms, they seem to be large ones. Nice show of blooms. I hope my blue silk has more blue in it like yours. Your Saz too is very nice, just love the baby blue color of no Sora.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Helena,. The Saz was over 4 inches across. One of the prettiest the last few days was the Choc Silk. It
was just beautiful

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Jackie, I love the chocolate silk too, I've had nice blooms from mine too.

Debra, beautiful blooms on your sis mailbox. Your other blooms are gorgeous too. Please mark that red and pink 4 o'clock for me for our trade. Love those blooms along with your others.

Here are mine, combining pics cause most are repeats.

Thanks Debra and Helena. My blooms are slowing down Debra. I'm so happy that Helena has new ones blooming to keep us entertained.

Love your sis' Glories on the miaibox. Nothing dresses up a mailbox in my opinion like our MG's.
Is that pretty purple bloom your George Strait?. Love your 4 o'clocks, the Pink Tie Dye and that soft pastel blue,,

Beautiful blooms Helena. I love all of them. You notice how much your Morning Star not resembles the Xiongs Chinese bloom color?
Your blues are wonderful.

Tai aki, I love the huge size of this pretty bloom, thanks Ronnie

Blue Tie Dye, one of my absolute favorties

Count Drac, thanks Gourd for sharing this one yrs ago. Still a favorite

Thumbnail by patootie Thumbnail by patootie Thumbnail by patootie
Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie. That bloom does look similar to the Xiongs color.

I love your blooms, the soft color of Tai Aki and your Blue tie dye is really nice. Count Dracula is a neat bloom. I'm glad you are still getting some beautiful blooms.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

I don't know how much longer I will get blooms Helena. I hope I find time to plant a few for this winter.

Transvaal and a sd pod

Thumbnail by patootie Thumbnail by patootie
(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Thanks Jackie and Helena. I also am glad Helena will have blooms for us to view. Those blues are electic and vibrant. Love the purple with the white stripe too. Transvaal has always intrigued me, I think I grew some from you, Jackie.. but didin't get a pod. I cut down sticto cardia tonight, and it is now down in it's spot where it bloomed last winter. My daughter would love that count drac, I am sure I planted those, too from you, but if they bloomed I have missed them.
The blue tie dye is also a favorite.
I hope Gourd comes here and sees the stripe grass she sent me.. I love it.
look at this caudex glory.. wish I could remember which one it was LOL
last pic is of stictocardia.

Jackie, this Blue Tie Dye ... its the commercial Blue Tie Dye ? That we buy from seed companies?
http://pics.davesgarden.com/pics/2012/09/27/patootie/9cbc58.jpg

Gautier, MS

Jackie, your transvaal has nice blooms and I like the leaves and it's neat to see when the seed turn orange. I'll try to keep my mg going.

Debra, you have quite a green thumb and so does your sis. Your first picture looks like the wild mg. I see similar ones all over town here. I went by the first place Northwest of town and they mowed the whole area down but I did see several vines still around the sign pole. I ripped several branches with seeds and have them in water till they mature, might take awhile though. I also started several cuttings from younger cuttings and they took and are starting to grow. I'll have them growing in the gh this fall and winter.

I love your yellow 4 o'clock too.

These are my other mgs.

Aomurasaki Youjiro Blzd.

Don't know if it's the right other but the rest of the mgs are:

mauve star
choco silk
Pale pink
silver shadow
