Morning Glories 2012 #09

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Debra. Your tree mg may not like the 50 degrees but it should still open in the morning.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jackie, I love that pink morning glory tree! I have a white one, and it has been blooming so good for me! Maybe we can trade cuttings this winter? I have had no seeds on mine, the blooms fall off, and so far no seeds have developed!

Gautier, MS

Nice blooms Jackie. I like that pink color too.

Nice to have you back Linda.

My silver shadow bloomed again, looks like it'll have the same kind of blooms.
Small blooms from this light blue with pink center, both blooms on the end of vine.
My roses.

The wild pink mg growing at 2 different spots I drive by every day.
2nd spot a property along the bayou they build up the soil to build a house but I don't think that the city approved b/c with a bad storm water from the bayou would wash the soil. Seems that the mgs were planted there to hold the soil, turned out nice to see.

Wow, those wild MG are beautiful!

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

thanks for showing us your beauties, Jackie.
I have some of that wild mg from another source, but if I had some seeds to those I could plant them together to see what happens.
Off to work, now.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Linda, I don't usually do cuttings.
Its a time problem for me. 10 cats, 6 dogs, 2 horses, over 200 plants
I'm hoping mine will make sds this time and I could share a sd or two, would be a lot easier for me.

Thanks Helena, Nice to see a Silver Shadow and I like the lite blue bloom.
Wish we knew the id to the pink mg. In one of your pics, I see heart shaped and tri-lobed lvs but I don't know if they both go with the pink blooms.
Pretty roses

Deb, send us a pic of your tree mg when you can.

Love that blue one! Seeds would be nice, hoping mine will set seed too!

Thanks Linda, Debra and Jackie. Debra, I will definetely get you some of those wild mg seeds. I hope by the end of Oct. they should have some ready. I'm also going to the other location to look for seeds ( the one with whiter blooms) probably check on them from time to time.

Love your pretty blooms Jackie, the clematis a lot too. Your mushroom is pretty neat. My silver shadow looks similar to your gray haze but maybe not the pink center? I hope I don't have the wrong name on it.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Thanks Helena! Oh Jackie, purple hige bloomed this am, I don't know how I missed it, it is in the sunflowers on the arbor way out back on the patio..I was sitting under it the whole time, duh!

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Linda and Helena.

Helena, you may be right re the Silver Shadow. I had a Silver Shadow in a pot in the ghouse 2 yrs ago.
I've never grown a Gray Haze that I know of. So this might very well be a Silver Shadows.

Debra, glad you finally got a hige bloom. They're such beautiful blooms.

Beautiful bloom Jackie. I collected the last of my GS seeds this past week. I think I liked the last blooms from iit best.

Well, I only have repeat blooms from my blooms.
Hatsu Arashi
Chocolate
Blue star
And Shibori x gray lady, seems the blooms are small and don't open like the others. I need to feed them.

Missed your great blooms Debra, spent too long trying to post mine. :-)

Beautiful George Strait and setosa.

We've had nothing but rain for 2 days now. We can expect another rain event tomorrow.
I've hid most of my mgs in the g house, cause of the rain, poor hummers can't find them.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Beautiful blooms ladies!
Debra I have plenty of Hatsu Arashi seeds you can have.

When Ronnie mentioned above that she bought Black King, I googled the following in the google search bar:

Ipomoea + "Black King"

and a seller came up. So, if anyone else has been craving Black King, hopefully this will help.

Thank you everyone for sharing your MGs here.
