I need to plant some morning glories next year
Garden Gems 2012 #8
Jen I have tons of seeds, don't buy any!
okey dokey, thanks!
Anytime! I'll save you some nice ones!
cool
Toad lilies, got to check on mine. Lovely photos. Thanks.
Nice Salvia.
Pretty color on the Rose of Sharon!
Which Salvia is that?
looks like that big one I bought by Celeste.. she will remember the name
All my salvias came from my friend's Edgewater Farm in Plainfield, NH...of course, the tags are long gone!
I just came home from some lengthy baby sitting and recovering from surgery (a friend) help. The end of season pics here are beautiful. We are really nearing the end of bloom time here. Took a few pics in the rain to help me remember what bloomed this time of year and where they're located since I didn't put many markers in.
The clems were a nice surprise. The roses keep going until the end. The Pink Turtle Head Chelone are finally beginning to bloom. They were started from seed.
pretty
I saw a mailbox yesterday covered in a bright pink clem(have to do some research on the later blooming ones) need one(or 2!)
where do you have the turtle heads planted Teri?
Love the roses, especially this time of year....
This one is planted in a garden that gets full afternoon sun, Allison. It has taller plants on either side of it, but it still gets direct sunlight. I think the weeds that I didn't get to pull protected it somewhat. I just put 3 more in very dense shade near my front porch. They probably are too young to bloom this year.
thanks.. I have been growing some in a container for a few years.. thinking they should come out of there
Beautiful environment. We're getting ready to start short hikes with the youngest grandchildren. Lots of info here on safety on the Appalachian Trail. We live near Delaware Water Gap. The "Church on the Mountain" here feeds hikers with food brought in by the locals. They LOVE lasagna.
Still looking good Teri!
Yes, the leaves are changing fast, Bill!
I love Bill's fall landscape. The variegated dogwood is very nice too.
Nice hiking spot Bill!
Bill ,you have such interesting plantlife.
Hiking spot looks like a calander .
thanks folks - here are a few more hiking shots and once in a while i even talk my wife into coming - that would be her in photo 3 not wanting her picture taken.
i have decided to remove many of the bes here and replace with short asters that need to be split once they are done blooming to provide more fall color.
I love photo 2 where the valley comes in view......
I like #4 very "Hobbit" like!
ronnie the walls along that stretch are covered with green moss - very cool looking
