Garden Gems 2012 #8
thx - she looks just like her mother did although a very different personality
What a cutie, wha!!
Lovely blooms everyone
Beautiful Bill! Love both your real honey and the hydrangea!
Wow Jen your thyme really looks sad, mine dries up a bit but not like that. Maybe it will perk up in the spring.
Really like those caladiums, Jen....
Amazing how that SA fills in Jen... that dwarf blue delph didn't return for me this year :(
great shots Bill.. and what a cutie she is!!!
Oh my gosh Bill she is so adorable! They grow up so fast.
Nice color Jen, love that you have a rebloom on a delph.!
Beautiful as always Bill but that rare, one-of-a-kind flower is simply gorgeous!!!!
Jumper your SA Clem is stunning!!
Beautiful pictures. Would anyone be willing to root a cutting of SW clem for me. Check my tradelist, please.

they get used to you after a while.. and don't fly away.. I let them get used to just me.. then the clicking of the camera
Beautiful Allison love the caladium! The balsam looks good, I just got seeds for some next year.
Marilyn I know how you feel with the hummers, they will be all over then as soon as I get the camera they disappear for hours!
thank you for confirming they were the impatiens.. I wasn't sure.. didn't mark em.. and not like me but with the shower / father's day party.. everything got tossed out when I could.. first time I grew them.. they are really neat.. I am amazed how tall they are
Yeah I love them, had a nice lavender one a few years ago, have to see if I still have seeds for it.
I wish I could remember if I started those inside.. or just tossed seeds outside.. if they were just tossed seeds.. I am def doing those again
I did start double Camellia inside.. but they don't look like that one.. unless the seeds were crossed or something
Hope we have another mild winter...it would encourage me to do some winter sowing....the 3 wooly bear caterpillars I've seen have been almost completely brown...think that's a good sign!
good!!
OK....now acatea goes on the list....very pretty this time of year......nice to have balloon flowers, too....mine bloomed a few weeks ago, & thank you to whomever gave them to me....think it was Allison, but I'm not sure....
Very pretty.....the sedum you gave me looks good so far.....
You might have better luck with it.
I have it planted against the fence.....
nice shots JoAnn
thanks .
Jo what was the name of the short catmint you have?
nepeta Lil Titch
Mornin Debbi
Thanks Jo, and good morning
The squirrels have been at it again, digging up my newly planted siberians, they must have done it a couple of days ago and I missed it on my daily walk through. I believe a product from Michigan called (migonite) or something like that was mentioned in one of these threads. If I remember correctly it was a product made from their treated waste . Any help would be appreciated.
Milorganite can be found at many garden centers.Try sprinkling red pepper around the sibes when you plant them.
Thank you. After researching the Cornell University information on sludge I have decided I'll try the red pepper instead.
Allison those hummer pictures are amazing! Your baskets are gigantic, they look wonderful!!!!
I have not used Melorganite but have heard it deters deer as well.
Your gardens sure beat mine, Pixie.....I have very little blooming....those roses are so pretty, especially at this time of year...
