more recipes needed......where are they.....

Are they hiding in a drawer, or in a closet , or tucked away safely? Run, get them quick and go post them for the cookbook, pleaseeee!

I'm here..and gonna post (*especially my mom's "green cake") (she ordered me to do it.) However, I remember the time I's hitch-hiking and got a few extra miles out of a ride cuz I had some of my mom's cooking in my back pack .....hmmmm.

Have been waiting on you 'shoe' to submit something. No, wasn't holding my breath. Would have been dead days ago.

Let's get busy folks. I would like to see a grand total of 1000 recipes submitted by Saturday noon and some new gardeners in there as well. Let's add some new names to the list that is already there; hope to get 20 new names added by Saturday noon. Lets get crack'n. There are still many members that haven't submitted yet, Lets do it now, or it may be too late.

I feel terrible about not submitting, but I usually don't use a recipe. I have more cookbooks than gardening books, but they're just for a safety net, I guess, as I rarely open them. Most of the things my family raves about are the things you do when you know you have to feed a bunch of people and you can't bear to go to the store. I used to keep an "omigosh" shelf in the pantry, and kept things there to stretch a dish or jazz up one that turned out too bland. But cookbooks always call for things I don't use often enough to have on hand or use up before the fuzzies get to them. Living alone, I just eat whatever my hand lands on first. What's a person like me to do? No one is interested in the tuna casserole I always took to covered dish suppers at church, that's old hat. Anyway, I didn't measure anything.

I submitted stuff I have never made - just sounds good! Put some of them in there, Aimee! :o) LOL, CoCo - Howie had a vacation day today, so it felt like a Saturday all day..And here it's only Friday night! Yea - more time to reach 1000!

I make a great peanut butter and jelly sandwich and can defrost just about anything. I open a mean can too! But I cook by throwing things at a pan and can't tell you 2 minutes later what was in it. Not great food but we survive!

So do you want my recipe for a peanut butter sandwich?

Aimee: I think your tuna cassarole would be a good one to submit. This Catholic is always looking for new tuna recipes during lent, and I'm probably not the only one. Please do submit it.

Sure Zany,we will take anything. I have one cookbook that has a recipe on how to butter toast.
Zany,if you have a short story or whatever you can put that in there. Just click on Misc.and submit your story down in 'notes'. Or if you have some cleaning tips or anything. Would love to see your name in the book as well.

Speaking of peanut butter; I need to put in there the way my DH makes a peanut butter sandwich; it's different,put it that way.
