Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

We surely did NOT miss the heat and humidity while we were gone. ICK!!! We may just have to leave town every July.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Good plan Jan!!!!

I can't believe how fast you made it back!

Threatened to rain all day but nothing

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes - the best thing about the west!

hot and humid

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

Thomaston, CT

A little breeze, but the air is soupy....even hot on the farm today.....T-storms for this afternoon....

Norridgewock, ME(Zone 5a)

I don't normally follow this thread, but I am so tired of watering, I have to scream into the ethos...or more accurately the cloud, I guess. The whole month of July had exactly one-half inch of rain. I've never had drought like this in Maine. I'm not set up for irrigation and the only method is standing there with a hose and praying the well doesn't go dry. Every single thunderstorm has missed us. It sure gets discouraging. The only good part is at ,least the temperature isn't in the 100s like in the Midwest...

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I hear ya Wynne, it's been terrible! I can't water all the acreage we own, but I do water the garden every other night. I too am praying the well holds out through the winter. :(

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Being away all of July was tough on the garden. I am going to have to rethink things here if we are going to be away every July. Will have to move toward Shrubberys and trees and grasses and stones.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Spent the day down the shore...perfect beach day!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Good move, Jan.

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Nice, Jen

Heehee, thought you would like that, Victor

Thomaston, CT

Another soupy air day....already over 80.....guess the a/c will have to go on....

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

yes soupy is the right word!!!

Its so Blanketey hot out there I cant sand it.

Thomaston, CT

Just walked the dog.....there was a nice breeze by the brook... over 90 though, so the walk was short....

South Hamilton, MA

got a couple irises planted this morning before it became too hot.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

gross out there!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

yep it is.. 75 now going to 86.. supposed to be storms on & off all day

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Yesterday was miserable on land so I stayed out on the ocean most of the day. Humid and sticky heat I don't like...dry heat I can tolerate.
68 now high of 82 today.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

t-storms last night, some rain this am. currently 81 and humid

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

Last night's storm advisory missed us except for the lightening and thunder. Garden is dry dry dry. A little rain isn't enough. All my garden energies are in getting more and more mulch down. 90 degree days keep happening until a cooling trend is predicted midweek. Rain promised for 7 pm today too. Leaves have turned over already. I'm going back to dump more bags!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

Got some rain. Too bad about the lightning strike at Pocono Downs

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

saw that, what was it? 3rd or 4th lightning strike in a week or so? crazy!

Amazing how quiet it is after a thunder storm, we were at the movies, went in and it was sunny came out and it was POURING
