I went to the store and....

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

bought some snacks for people as well as some Pup-eroni and cheese snacks for Wally (the dog). I opened both and put them in containers on the counter. I told DH that I had bought some snacks. I was here at DG reading about Nana's party when DH said "these snacks taste like dog food". I said "that's funny, I like them." He said "if you like these, you've got something wrong with your taste buds, Wally is begging for them." I then went into the kitchen as he reached into the canister and said "Taste this". I said "Is that what you ate? It's dog food!!!" I bout died laughing, he told me I was "number one" and when I got choked from laughing so hard he said it served me right. Can you believe he would say that??? I will have to hide Wally's food from now on!!!

Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

ohhhhhh cala!!!! tooooo funny! Ask Dh if he wants me to buy him some snacks for him at our farmers market...there is a girl there that makes her own gourmet doggy snacks..giggling...Lisa

Georgetown, TX(Zone 8a)

I have never laughed harder! Oh, my, you only hear these things from stand-up comics, and you actually had it happen in your own kitchen. You can't plan this type of thing.

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

he he he....... I darn near busted a gut on that one. lol

Cape May Court House, NJ(Zone 7a)

DH was eating breakfast this morning and Wally was sitting at his side, staring at him. DH said "go away, I'm not eating your food this time." Poor man, can't win with all the critters in the house. He said he doesn't know what's safe to eat anymore. The last episode was with the "miracle meal" in the fridge for the wild birds, he thought it was granola!!! He said "peeyouuuu, this is yuckie, and it's got coconut in it and it tastes like lard". Well duh, that's what it is, it's for the birds!!!

Circleville, OH(Zone 8b)

Thats okay when Megan was teething she got into the dogs Milk bones and fell in love with them. A heck of alot less messy than teething biskits let me tell you and the DR. said it wouldn't hurt her either.

Megan still likes her crackers(Milk bones) still today.

Can someone tell me how to wean a kid from the Milk bones.

Mike

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

That is too funny. Cala I'm starting to wonder if this is so innocent, after all...first the granola, then the casually "planted" doggie snacks. Hmmmm. Hehehehe

My oldest son (who will kill me for sharing this) used to eat the dog's food - he'd stuff his little baby cheeks full, just like a chipmunk. Anytime I turned my back, he'd be scarfing down the Hi-Pro. He also ate everything in sight, including a lot of yellow and orange vegetables, so much so that his skin really did have an orange tinge. We laughed that he had the Hi-Pro glow, too. Fortunately, he gave up his fondness for dog food, probably a good thing since his girlfriend wouldn't appreciate "dog breath"

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

OH My.. I can't stop laughing..

Washington, DC(Zone 7a)

This is way too funny. Reminds me of a friend I had when very young. She'd go into her basement where the dog food was kept and eat handfuls. She had to sneak down there after her sister finally told on her. It got to the point that her parents put the food under lock and key.

Calalily, maybe your husband should talk to Dr. Dolittle.

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

Did anyone notice how Calalily's hubby somehow blamed her because he was silly enough to eat the dog food?

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

He recently had lazer surgery on his eyes, so he can't say he didn't see the doggie on the label, lol. When we came in this evening, Wally ran to his treats to "guard" them.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

you are kidding, right?? about the dog guarding his food??? that's just toooooo funny!!!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

No tig, seriously Wally was keeping an eye on his canister of treats. Boy did I give DH a hard time at work today. He told the workers that I would probably be coming in telling tall tales on him, and they shouldn't believe a word of it.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

better watch it, he might tell about the mum seeds ;)

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Nope, he said mum's the word. ;o) Tell me - I missed that one!!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)
