Weather In Your Garden # 117

May/June making up for Mar/April.

It's been raining since Sat. here, some place have seen as much 8.5" of rain.
A woman, her two-year-old daughter and their cat and dog were rescued from their home this morning when flood waters from the Little Androscoggin took their home.
My brother as of last night had water under his home and up the driveway from another river that is flooding and hopefully he was smart enough to get out!

Some of our headlines today:

Flooding closes Falmouth bridge/Engineers need to inspect bridge
Rain, flooding force road closures
Torrential rain leads to road closures across southern, central Maine
Multiple roads closed due to flooding
Flood warning issued for southern and western Maine
Drenching sets rainfall records
Portland receives 5.5 inches in two days and other areas get more, flooding roads and swelling rivers.

SO the FUNNY part of it? Cause I have to find humor in all this some how..... ^_^
Allison arrived on Sat. and said she was sorry but she brought the rain with her. Since she's been here we have had torrential rains, winds and flooding. This morning she got ready to go home and the rain slowed down. She left at 1:30pm.... it was not raining, it had not rained until just a few minutes ago when we had a 10 minute shower. LOL

Showers today (better than downpours) high of 62.
We are still in a flood watch until tomorrow night. Flood stage is at 12 feet, this morning @3am we were at 15.5 feet.

Currently 53 degrees and sunny in WNY heading to the upper 60's. Nice.

Only 56 here, cloudy, showers predicted, high of 60.....not June-like....yesterday was the 2nd coldest June 4th on record in CT.....

62 and it just rained again. I figured that after the dry winter we might also have a spring drought, but it's just not the case.

I was just finishing my walk & it showered...then , on my way home, it was sunny...just as I was about to go into the garden it poured....too wet to go out now....

Chilly when the sun is not out, needed a light sweater, brrrrrr

Chilly here too, I was out on the deck with an adult beverage but came in to start dinner. If it were nicer, dinner would be late!

Just looked at Venus crossing in front of the sun. DH has been checking it every few minutes until he saw it.

It's 45 here this morning, heard the furnace kick on so I knew it was chilly!! Sunshine this morning followed by increasing clouds and showers possible in late afternoon. High of 65 today.

Sun was very hot when it was out for a couple of hours...clouds have moved back in....49 tonight...ouch!

Sunny, breezy. Did some yard work, then babysat and cooked dinner. Cloudy around 8 with distant thunder.

Went to Great Adventure today, it was a perfect day, then had a fast shower around 4 or so, but cleared up
My daughter had her first roller coaster ride, she was so happy that she finally reached the height requirement, now my hubby has his roller coaster buddy, cause I can't stand them....well just the ones with big drops, I don't mind going fast or upside down

Jen my niece.. she went on her first RC in VA.. big bad wolf... terrified her ... she never went one one again.. glad hers was a positive one
