Well, I'm not sure then. I searched fairly thoroughly and the only thing I found that mentioned the lady slippers in any substantive form was the thread I mentioned above.

Here are some sites where you can purchase ladyslippers. I hope this helps. They are such beautiful flowers. I rescued mine from a farmers field before they sprayed their crop, and with the owners wife! And yes, we left many in the ditch, hopefully they will continue to flourish.
