Very nice Jamie, Olaf, and Lynn!
March Pictures and Chit Chat
Great pictures everyone.
It's gorgeous and so is your terrarium.I recently went to a show and Mary Jo Bradley showed an amazing terrarium. When they get the pictures posted I will send a link.
Lynn
Wow! This has been a month of great pictures of awesome plants! Great growing, everyone!!! :)
Jamie: Could the plant that Lynn was asking you about be a Corytoplectus cutucuensis or speciosus and not a Drymonia? Oh, and your terrarium is wonderful!
Lynn: That mini Sinningia looks awfully familiar... ;) Glad that it does well for you!
Olaf
Gee I wonder why Olaf LOL?
Olaf, It came to me as a cutting (I think from a RR) and I had thought it didn't fit its name. Thanks for giving me alternatives. I'll look into those others for a better fit.
Olaf- it looks just like the Corytoplectus cutucuensis on the Gesneriads website. Thank you!
Really nice pictures, bsimpson.
I absolutely LOVE that Gabriel's Horn!
The colors are fabulous!
Come on everyone, we need you all to sign up for RR. The more participants the more fun it is. Lou
I'm sorry, but I will have to sit this one out.
Lynn
Olaf... I can't get over how pretty that flower on G'sH is! I have looked it up and the flowers on others I've seen aren't as pretty. I love the color combo of pulse and red!
Oh, thank you Karen!
There are two different "versions" of the plant:
1: The oiginal 'Gabriel's Horn' with gorgeous orange/red flowers without the purple/magenta and
2: 'Gabriels Horn Mutant' or 'Gabriel's Horn Sport' with the purple/magenta.
Both are very neat calyx doubles and well worth growing.
Here are some of my Sinningias...
They are so pretty, bsimpson.
I shall have to look for the G'sH mutant or sport then!
Thanks!
