Had a great tour today of the old City Hall subway station - the Jewel of the Crown. Will post pics.

It seems there is no place to go for quiet and peace these days. I know cellphones are an important part of our culture but GD came to visit me and after 10 mins of listening to me half heartedly while TXTing I asked her to turn the thing off so we could have a conversation.
Guess its time for "phone etiquet (sp)"

I dont have a cell,just dont need to be available 24/7 to anyone. People become slaves to the things and wonder where controle of their lives went.

it is the way now.. sad to see couples at a table in the restaurant just messing with the phones and not talking

Yep, I hope a lot of people will scale back on their communications electronics in order to have "real" interactions.

We use our cell phone to make calls if necessary. Only our girls & a next door neighbor to use in emergencies have our number. It feels good to have it with us while traveling, but have never had to use it.

i have my cell with me maybe 20% of the time - drives my wife nuts
