Ash here

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

Okay, I was leary of being the hornbeam tree, but I think it fits me in all areas except the part about dreaming of unusual lovers and mistrusting people. I tend to trust everyone until they prove to me that I shouldn't. And if I dream of unusual lovers, I don't remember them, so they can't really be all that good. LOL

Have a great Sunday afternoon.
Joan

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

Glad you enjoyed it. I thought it was cute.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Georgetown, TX(Zone 8a)

What's a rowan?

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

Aimee here is a link to it. I had never heard of it either.

http://www.british-trees.com/guide/rowan.htm

Well Joan you're not alone in being a hornbeam there. Not sure that its very descriptive of me though, you could get me the best clothes designer that ever lived and I'd still come out looking like I'm wearing a sack, my hair is a fluff ball or windswept and interesting I think is the phrase *BG*

I am a very disciplined and conscientious person but I don't recall dreaming of lovers let alone unusual ones, hmm but as they say ... tomorrow's another day to try something new! I wonder what they mean by unusual? LOL

Ohhhh the Rowan is a magical tree of ancient times and is a slender beauty and once believed to be a tree belonging to the otherworld. There are so many myths and legends about the Rowan in Europe its hard to keep track of them all!

It's also in the database http://davesgarden.com/plants/go/2082.html

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

(Zone 8a)

Well, Aimee...I think this tree describes you to a tee...Hee-Hee!

ROWAN TREE (Sensitivity) - full of charm, cheerful, gifted without egoism, likes to draw attention, loves life, motion, unrest, and even complications, is both dependent and independent, good taste, artistic, passionate, emotional, good company, does not forgive.

Hey MSJen I think there are a few ash trees here.lol myself included.lol(I am very honored to be similiar to you)I think they are fun but hope nobody takes them the wrong way they are just in fun.

Georgetown, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks, Mystic and Baa, now I'll be forced to get myself a rowan tree. I wonder how it would fare in the unrelenting Texas sun....But if I'm like that tree, and I survived being transplanted from humid La., it would probably be just fine. I'm off to the tree farm.

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

mystic..do people feel threatened by your personality? love to talk about you, nit-pick your life, bash you, etc?
the hardest lesson for me to learn in life was that the majority of people that i meet..they are acquaintences, and not necessarily friends.
all my life ive heard "oh their just jealous" aargh..i can count my true friends on one hand..more like 3 fingers, but i know they are with me til the end.
i love to have fun, but im always accused of having a smoking gun attached to my hip..mainly because i speak first and analyze later, although im not one to intentionally hurt someone else. i learned a long time ago that hurtful words cant be taken back.
jen
p.s...im honored too :) im may 29th

Knoxville, TN

well i never...........i am a cedar,,,,but the only way I look down on people is if the are shorter than me,
I AM 5/5 SO ONLY PEOPLE 5/4 AN UNDER but i do like
coming from a cedar,,,,they are relly neat trees

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

Oh nana I see some of the things in that are very true.
rare beauty, knows how to adapt, not in the least shy, determined, many talents, industrious, healthy optimism.
MSJen I would like to think they don't but I can really see where your coming from. I do the same thing as far as speaking first and thinking about it later. I very often regret things I say in haste but have to admit I am getting better at that. And just like you I would never intentionally hurt anybody I go more the other way I would do anything in the world to help out somebody.(to much so sometimes.) As far as friends or acquaintances, I have to say I have many friends and many acquaintances, and I know the difference.Hey I read something once that said is you have one true friend then you are very lucky. I count myself blessed.

Circleville, OH(Zone 8b)

Georgetown, TX(Zone 8a)

Reb, you are the one person here who would know, so I take your word for it, and thanks! At least I'm not a hackberry, the only tree I truly hate. Or some puny thing that has no starch in its spine. I also take comfort in the fact that my tree is long lived. Great!

Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

I am an elm tree!!!

High Springs, FL(Zone 8b)

Guess I fell out of a Chestnut tree...

"Unusual beauty"?? Well, the "unusual" part's right. And if I act superior it's only because I AM....(modest too, right? LOL!)

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

Here I go Again "Odd Man Out" - I am the "mighty Oak" and the description is fitting with the exception of not liking change - but man am I relentless!
