Great shots gang! Like them all! Got a Bonaparte's Gull just about to hit the water to catch a fish..after not seeing them for over a year i,m getting lots of shots of them while their feeding close to shore.lol

Thank you Nanny for the response. I'll just leave things be for awhile. The weather is definitely getting colder, so we'll see.

That Bonaparte's Gull is amazing, Burd-fotos. And love the little Junco, Ducbucln. I've been doing a bit of camera grabbing myself to get these sweet fellows (and gals)
This is one of my recent favorites. I just ordered a batch of greeting cards with this being the centerpiece.

A surprise visitor yesterday, a Northern Shrike. Spotted by a child who was supposed to be doing his lesson. I don't complain, because the birds always call me away from what I am supposed to be doing. The is only the 2nd time since we've moved here that we've seen them.

This Western Bluebird landed on our deck just as I was looking at Dave's thread on his bluebirds. They've been on our power lines and in the berry vines, but this is the first time this year I've seen one so close.

Here's one of my Brewer's Blackbirds.

And a daily visitor to this tree above the lake, a Bald Eagle.

I saw a cardinal across the back yeard this morning. I was aftaid that they had left us & visited someone else.

A few shots I took of Australian Pelicans at the Peel Inlet yesterday. This one took of and flew a very short distance towards another Pelican

Closer. it had its eye on something.

This Red-tailed hawk flew right by us on the tower at Sheldon Lake. He was so close that I couldn't keep him in the pic frame. Took this one after he flew off and was pretty far away. He was so dark -- very unusual. Total opposite of Red's beautiful white one!

This shot is kind of terrible, but it's the first time I've really seen the top of a Red-tailed Hawk while it was flying. The markings are beautiful.

Margaret, the pelican shots are just awesome! I especially liked the one with fish envy and that last one. Love that heron-it's beautiful.

Elphaba, glad you liked seeing the red-tailed hawk-they are pretty in flight.

Here's a brewer's blackbird that decided to sit on the railing rather than be blown off in the wind.

A ruby-crowned kinglet.

A yellow-rumped warbler (Audubon's).

And a cold cedar waxwing.

Too many good pics to comment on them all. Burd, that gull was a great capture. Haven't been taking any pics the past few days. Here's one of Daddy in the back yard.

Haven't seen a Blue Bird for awhile but I do hear them still as we walk.

Turkey Vultures.....

I needed to have this bird confirmed on the ID forum. Immature Whistling Kite at the Leschenault Inlet. There were several of them around but the terrain was likely to be home to those long slithery things with fangs that bite you and inject venom if you tread on them, so I didn't venture too far from the track.
