Skeleton leaf goldeneye blooming like crazy. You can see a cowpen daisy I cut back to the ground a few weeks ago blooming at the bottom.

Hi, everyone. Enjoyed seeing your gardens. We've had an horrendous summer here in Houston. Ive been planting a lot of the plants I received from you all at the Spring RU. My camera is out of commission until I get a new card. I guess I bought the wrong kind and it does not work with my camera. I was afraid to put plants in the ground spaced around my yard, because I might forget to water and so I kept them in pots altogether so I'd be sure to water.
I did plant one of the cowpen daisies in spring however and it is soooo gorgeous! I love it and will never be without it. Are the seed viable? It did so well with the hot dry summer too. The Passion vine I got from you grew up on my pergola but has not bloomed. It may not have got enough water.
Blackberries are still alive, Mexican Mint marigold-one is still going but the one I planted earlier in the spring is gone, I think. The mums and asters I got in the RU are all doing well and blooming. The flowering Quince, Va sweet spire, bloodflower, frostweed, irises, red yucca, goldenrod, ghost plant are all doing well. I lost the perilla, obedient plant, cat whiskers, angelonia, zexmenia and one of the brugs. I may have lost the lyreleaf sages but they may have just gone dormant. From postings above, I, for one, would be interested in some seed from the pink sage, from the gomphrenas and the cupheas. Sheila, my sister has lived near Atlanta Texas since graduating from school 40 yrs ago. She married Keith Shelton who is from there. Small world. Marty from Houston.

Marty, the Cowpen daisy reseeds itself usually, but you can save some seeds just in case, I love it too.

Marty...good to hear so many did survive. I can send you seeds for the lyreleaf sage, zexmenia, and perilla. Are you in the address section? If not dmail me your address.
Funny about your sister, yes very small world. I had a girlfriend named Bonnie Morgan that married a Shelton and still lives in Atlanta TX. I do love the piney woods of Cass County.

Yes, Im in the address section. Thanks so much. There was someone I gave a pink Mexican petunia but it broke in transit. I was pretty optimistic it would live but if it did not, Ive collected some seeds I could send to you. JLMK

I had to check the date to make sure I wasn't 2 months off. Looks like a Sept garden. I am glad all those blooms were there to greet you

Nice surprise to come home to. We had rain off and on and low temps only a few short periods, definately not what you expected to see after two weeks away in November. Looking lovely.

I have blooms all over also, but what I am surprized at the most is Monarchs still active everyday lately!
