Love the yellow. I cut back my ochracea so I bet I don't get blooms this winter.

(Zone 7a)

Jackie, I hope you get surprised

Debra, who knew paradise came as subterranean, too

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I have this thing aout spending money and saving gifts and trades, is all. I don't use that space down there any other time except in winter. I keep forgetting to take shots of the mgs that are bloming down stairs, white kawani and plum surprise. Dang.good news, I plantesis is vining away down there.. yippee!

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Great photos, everyone!

What a cold front we've had... actually feels like autumn now. Here's "Chickencoopdark" (another of Ronnie's generous I. purpurea sharing—thanks, again, Ronnie!^_^) at lunch-time. It's one of the few that made it thru the storms last night mostly intact.

Pretty blooms everyone! Expecting slight cold night here.

Nick that is a gorgeous blue mg there. I love it.
Helena is that an akatsu>? It's a pretty one for sure.

never heard of a No MoMo, so this is a good thing.
cold here too.. brr!

szarvas, Hungary

Nick, this one is superb!
Is a purpurea - in summer it has the same flowers?
Or only the back end saison ?

I had the same type of flower in autumn.

Thanks Jackie and Debra. Love your pink No Mono Jackie. Debra, I don't know if it's akatsu. It could be, it's from one of Becky's seed mix.

Here's a large light blue with blizzard from Karen2005 surprise mix.

(Zone 7a)

Beautiful blues, Nick & Helen - strong tints of sea and sky there

Also enjoyed the blue lurking in Helen's pink and the white clarifying Patootie's pink

Temps dropping here, too - occasional sun delurks to give phantom lights to a charcoal sky - does anyone want some Ophiopogon planiscapus 'Nigrescens' seeds? I'm cleaning these seeds today, and have just enough to share with anyone posting here. The leaves are like black grass hugging the ground - imagine with Gray Haze or Black Queen against a Fall gray sky?

Hi Darren, good to see you, too - how can you be so chirpy and be moving roots at the same time? Hope you'll enjoy wherever you land :)

Debra, gotcha. It'll take me a while to go over back posts. I don't have morning glories to trade, just odds and ends from this year's garden. I'm not expecting anything back for the black mondo grass, but certainly appreciate offers like Debra's. Anyone, shall I throw in Salvia splendens 'van Houtii Faye Chapelle', too??? Amazing thing refused to stop blooming all summer/fall, no matter how many days of wretched muggy heat we had - 4' x 4' and hardly ever without Ms. Hummer visiting - some flowers had long tubes within tubes - may not come true from seed.

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks, folks!

Nice blues, purple & pinks (particularly fond of that 'no Momo'-- foliage looks spectacular!).

Dany: The white center of "Chickencoopdark" (it is a definitely an I. purpurea) seems to have gotten bigger & whiter as the temperatures finally got cooler (photo is from May when it first bloomed inside the house)...

Thanks Nick, great photo of your Blue Purpurea.
Had to be my potting mix that produced all the white lvs, a virus perhaps? Sure did wonderful
things to my leaves.

Beautiful blooms Nick, Darren and Jackie! I got similar bloom to yours from Blue Marble Not too Jackie. You never know what they really going to bloom from year to year, but it's nice to get nice surprises from them.
The bloom on the left opened yesterday, the one on the right opened the day before.

Today my Fuji no Momo and the vine in the 8 oz cup marked as Fuji shibori were both open. No differences
