Hmmm, what should I start with? How about this Red-shouldered Hawk who was about to cough up a wad of nasty.
Daily Bird Pics Vol. 417
Thanks Elphaba!! Love the vultures...but they are ALL great!
Wonderful start Elphaba!
Love the Vultures and Ibis!
That is a great post on the last thread Elphaba. Love all of the vultures, wow, magnificent birds.
Nice pictures Mrs. Ed. Cute Dee, Cardinal. That Robin is sure enjoying the water.
oh thanks Resin.........that never even crossed my mind! lol
That would explain why I was so baffled in trying to figure out which thrush!! LOL

Thanks Elphaba, very nice start with the Vultures. Love that shot of Egrets and Ibis, nice to see them all in the one shot. The ending was really funny on the last thread.
Cute Chickadee, Marna. Looks like he found some Yummy treats. Mrs Cardinal seems very relax in that pic.
One of the five Myrtle Warbler, that came for a visit last week.
We heard a Barred owl calling last night. It does sound like a dog barking at first, but played a recording from a book of bird calls & made sure.
Fabulous shots of the Blue Jay and RBWP, gardenpom. How nice it's to see the Buntings and Tanagers--again. Elphy the "scary" Robin can be grouped with the vultures for 'tis the season.... lol. Thank you for starting the new thread. I especially enjoyed the ending on the last thread too. Burn, love your birds, is the lawn oversown with rye grass for the winter? IrisMa, it's gotta be scary too to hear the barred Owl. Something to the same spookiness is listening to the Loons calling if one lives near by the water.
Here is my residential Great Blue Heron, I though I saw the 1st flock of American Coots this past weekend, but no pix. :((
Great pictures folks. Gosh, that is a scary looking Robin!! LOL
GP, I had indigo buntings show up yesterday too! I didn't get a good pic though. Nice job!
IrisMA, I love the sound of barred owls! Congrats on hearing them.
Lily, it must be nice to wake up to a great blue heron every day!
Elphy, indeed it's nice. Though, in breeding season. If I were to have MY ways. I'd rather 'em leaving my Precious ducklings alone. Since I've sooooo loved these couple that chose to nest in our corner of the pier in the backyard garden. But, over time I've come to term with the idea that MY WAY isn't nature's ways at time. Here is my wild Mallard momma by the pier this morning.
Ooops that was her beau (above), this is she. For the most part. I haven't seen Mallards during the hot summers days. But as the cool air of autumn arrived, they've returned. I saw nearly a dozen of them the other day in the area.
White-breasted Nuthatch....they are very busy now hiding seeds for later!
Thank you Nan. I didn't know that these little birds are that inventive! I need to refill the grains feeder pronto! Especially the shelled raw peanuts they so love.

Edit again...
I don't understand why every forum I can find that has anything to do with birdwatching wants to own use content. What is the problem with allow me to host my files off site?
One more forum I won't be frequenting...

Hi wafats, Sorry to hear you won't be coming back. I really enjoyed your video.
BTW I sent you a D mail. :-)
Great video wafats.
jays are so funny!
Wafats, don't let the limitations of the site keep you away, it's about the community here. I know it can be a pain, I'd love to be able to post multiple pics at one time, but it's just the way it is built.
I found this interesting http://www.youtube.com/embed/nbrTOcUnjNY
Einstein is absolutely incredible. How wonderful. I could watch that bird all day long. Thanks for sharing that alderbertcat!
