Miscellaneous Shots 2011 - No. 5 'FALL COLORS'

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

nice memory - heard one of celeste's realitives get one in the woods behind my house yesterday

Thomaston, CT

Those sky scenes were fantastic...gives me a greater appreciation of the West......

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

I wonder what Celeste is doing with all the antlers - they make great buttons and fastners for jackets.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Did you see how MUCH those were and they weren't even real antlers!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

GEEZ, you can make them and sell them for a lot less than that and still make a ton of $

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

That's exactly what I was thinking of. In Jackson Hole, WY At a park there are pillars at each corner of the square. The pillars are wire framed then filled with elk antlers. It is quite impressive. Outside of town there is an area where the elk gather and then when the antlers are shed, people pick them up.

Thomaston, CT

Wow.....the prices are awful! Do you have to treat real antlers with something to make them last?

Marlborough, MA(Zone 5b)

Hi Gang,
I hope that everyone is well and enjoying the holiday season.
I love the photos.
I wanted to insert a video link that a friend sent me of some incredible rough oceans.

How did you identify it as pig?

Brockton, MA(Zone 6a)

I posted it here on DG asking for an ID, Robin.

Thomaston, CT

Wow....didn't realize this was such a great resource, I would never have thought about posting it!

Brockton, MA(Zone 6a)

Did you set me up to promote Daves? lol.
The helpful DGers who ID stuff is a major reason I'm here. I must admit I was impressed with this query. Pig jaw?
Andy P

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes, I have never had an ID question unanswered.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

What are you going to do with it now, Victor?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Some catching up. Took me forever to set up my photo stuff on the new computer. Downloaded a couple of months of pics from the camera.
