Under lights Sinningias can take a lot of light.Some of mine are only a few inches under my lights.

I hope they don't blast! I finally got buds on my Chrysothemis pulchella 'Black Flamingo' and the first one has blasted....darn!!

I have only managed once to NOT blast buds on a Chrysothemis and that was C. friedrichsthaliana growing totally pampered and enclosed. Again: Miss ONE watering and the buds are toast...

Thanks Celene! I just love micro minis. Just a few minis ago I started another batch of Sinningia muscicola ("Rio Das Pedras") seeds fresh from the pod. I have another one of the same species that I've sown a few days ago and another pot of Sinningia pusilla...

Well at least I'm not the only one.I might try it outside next summer.

Let's take a vote . . . I understand it's getting cooler in some areas sooner than expected, people are going out of town for holidays, etc . . . what do you say to slightly accelerating the game a bit?

And by that I mean extra calls each day, etc . . .

I'm in Chicago and it's dipping down into the thirties at night, so I'm all for that.

It's getting down to frost and freeze warning here, so it's fine with me. I'm bring up the rear on calls. Didn't know I could do so badly! LOL Lou

It's snowing in South Jersey! Old Mother Nature sure seems confused this year. The last time it snowed here in October was in 1979.

I still only have 8, so speed up the calls, by all means. I had to bring all my hoyas in a couple weeks ago because we were in danger of a freeze. We normally don't get the first frost until mid November, but not this year! It's in the 40's at night now. It'll be one of the cooler trick or treating nights, that I can remember, for ten years.

Ah, snow! Last time we had snow was Christmas Day 2004! I'm going to NC,Deleware, NY, and New Jersey from Nov. 25 to Dec. 10! Maybe, just maybe, I'll get to make a snow angel! I know, all of you who get snow think I'm crazy! And I am! LOL

Yeah, but will your plane actually be able to fly into those places during that time of year? I'd actually like to have snow too. I've got deep-seated snow envy.

Well, folks, we received 10-12 inches of snow here in central New Hampshire overnight. Temps are supposed to get back up to 50 during the week, but I think I can safely say that winter is coming!

Yay! I had 4 out of the 5 called. My lucky day!

Oh, please, I don't even want to think about flying in snow. The first flight I was going to book only had a 30 minute layover in Charlotte, NC. Even though it would be great to jump off one plane and get right on the next, I had to stop and think, "What if there is a delay?" So, I chose the flight with a longer layover. When I fly home, I'll be flying from Philadelphia, so that one's got me worried? But, whatever will be, will be!

Just for y'all, I just renewed DG membership for 2 months. That's why I was going to do a double post today, 'cause I wasn't going to renew until Wednesday. Now, though, with the 2 month membership, I'll be set to renew on January 1 . . . seems appropriate to renew each year on Jan 1 . . .
