And develop the Amethyste purpurea.
In Purpurea family ... everything is to do!

Those who have problems with rush disease or from region where summers are not enough warm to cultivate Nil should develop variants purpurea!
Purpurea is invasive!.... Just pull the plants in September, watering the soil that still warm - 90% of fallen seeds will germinate and winter will kill them.

Here a picture of Kyushu garden ..... I wonder how they can control plant growth.
They look like 5-6 feet height .... maximum !
Do they use a growth retardant?
When Joseph asked pollination between cultivars, it was told that there is no mixing pollination !
It's amazing!

Dany, yes, we are at the beginning of our season. It started off very hot, but has cooled down. In fact, we are experiencing lower than normal temperatures. The MG are slow to germinate. I decided not to start them on pots this year, becasue they seem to not like being transplanteed. All I can do now, is holding thumbs that they will germinate and grow big and strong... LOL!

Your blooms get prettier every yr Dany. I hope you revisit your blooms in the middle of winter and take us along for the ride. It was a wonderful experience getting to see all those beauties.

Thanks Jackie, Thanks Debra !
First flower for this plant today !... but this plant has a strange story !

This plant began its life in the difficulties ... Indeed, after his two cotyledons it produce something large and funnel-shaped. I thought it was going to give nothing but it makes a stem ... and then a flower!

In june.
