There was rain here in San Antonio earlier, too. There had been "showers" that lasted all of 5 minutes, so I don't think they counted. I don't know what time during the night the rain started, but it was going from at least 3am (storms woke me up) to until about 1pm. realbirdlady is right, it could be my imagination, but I think my aloe plants are a bit plumper . . . they were pitifully thin . . .

My trees were dancing with happiness. We had about 1 3/4" here West of Houston. It was long & slow, exactly what we needed.

digger-it's muddy and I don't know what to do. I think we got about 5" there is actually water in the creek so there must have been a good rain up stream. Things will definately be greener now. Only in Tx can the conditions change this quickly.
Bet the animals are loving it .
Just tell the kids to kick off the shoes and don't let the dog in the house . Other than that you could get outside and take a shower , that would be about what I'd do , stand there and wash my hair . I'm loving it .
Woke to more storms this morning!! We picked up another 3/4" of rain. I might need instructions on gardening in a monsoon soon!
Stephanie, I know how you feel. You mean I don't have to go out and water everything today? What am I suppose to do with my time?!? Have really been enjoying waking up to the sound and smell of rain.

I don't remember how to walk around in the mud! It's still muddy from Sat. Rain and has been drizzling on and off all day.
