Garden Photos # 18
Referring to Meredith's hummingbird shot again. I sure love those hummers, and admire anyone's ability to capture them on film. Can't say what I think of the pornographic squirrel photos.LOL.
Roses and autumn clem look like a bridal boquet.
It does, Allison, doesn't it????
Love the gallardia. One of my favorite perennials, but I've never gotten mine to live for more than two years. Yet my MIL has had a patch of 5-6 gallardia plants in her front yard for more than 10 years.
what I miss Jen??.. sleepy today
Thanks for the compliments on my pretties, guys! You all have a lot of nice pics here lately. I have not taken any recent pics in the gardens.
Celeste, your heather is looking great. I have not been successful at growing that, but I've only tried once. Maybe I should try again in a dryer spot. Love the shots of the bee with all the pollen.
Dave, your place is looking great!
Louise, I love that bottled gentian. Very pretty.
Meredith, I love your hummer shots, and your crocosmia is very nice.
Jen, I love the roses with the sweet autumn clem.
Karen
Rebecca is a great clem, Jen.....

Jen your flowers are beautriful. Glad you posted Tokajer, I was thinking of getting seeds of that one next year. Now I know what it looks like in a real garden, not photoshopped on the seed catalog and website. :)
Joann even though it's gloomy your garden looks great! Love that Henri, I'm thinking of getting a white clem next year. Is that one making you happy?
It sure does. Its taller than I thought but a hardy one,not finnicky about how its treated.
I am an amature planter.
Allison, you said that the clem and rose looks like a bridal bouquet, I agreed
Great to see so many dls reblooming now
Meredith, you def have to stake that Tokajer
I like your pics Jo even though dark and gloomy ☺
From today, of course it had to wait to bloom for the first time in the rain...what's up with that???
I just planted these from the co op, but don't know which one it is because the coloring doesn't really match the ones I bought
maybe y'all could help id it...

Ok according to my map it should be Purple D'Oro...UGH color is all wrong.....
Russian Ragtime is my guess....and let it settle in before you judge. It takes a year or so to settle....3 to be at its best. The color my very well be totally different next year.
Jo, your yellow noid is intriguing.....buds look like an anenome, but I don't know of any yellow ones.....Jen, I kind of like the bright color on that DL....
Ok, wow that was TOTALLY weird
ROBINDOG That is the plant you saw here and said it looked like anemone. I believe I bought it from Bluestone but they have no yellow ones.
Its Kirengeshoma palmata a hydrangea. Thanks to Plant ID.

Wow, a hydrangea! Never would have guessed that!
The common name is Yellow Waxbells.

Very pretty flowers! Remind me of a Canada lily......
Don't worry too much Jen my DL's colors look totally different when it rains, so maybe you'll like it better when it blooms on a sunny day. My Moy Grande HIbiscus decided it would have 15 flowers today in the pouring rain. Meanwhile every nice day that I could have actually enjoyed them only one or two was open! No pictures today..
Jen, that DL doesn't look like any of the ones you bought. Definitely not Purple D'Oro, much more red that that one.
Meredith, I hate it when multiple flowers open on a rainy day!
Karen
Quick pix from a small bright time period than back to gloom'
