Morning Glories 2011 #13

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Becky and Debra. Becky thanks for sending all those links for no Mai. I didn't have a clue what no Mai is supposed to look like. No wonder, I never get the same bloom twice. :-)
Debra, I like your pretty Lav Kikyo.

Look at this tiny Youjiro this morning and with a star shape. Its no more than an inch and 1/2 across.

Jackie - A dwarf kikyo? Too cute!!! Amazing how perfect it is regardless of it's size! Pretty neat discovery!

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Becky, thanks, it's this Youjiro that's growing up thru the pandy. As it gets later in the season, I;m not surprised that the blooms are getting smaller but the shape was a fun surprise.

Oh Jackie, that photo of no mai is great, I love it.

Debra, is that Dracula? Or is it from Karen's seeds, It is gorgeous, I love the kikyo type

very nice flowers everyone.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks A. I think my orig vine was from your sds. A wonderful mg.

Mesilla Park, NM

Jackie - When I looked at your little bloom, I immediately thought it was a kikyo bloom! That's neat!! Makes ya wonder if perhaps that is how some of the genes for kikyo were created! Very cool!

Helena - Black King? Whatever it is ... love the deep dark colors! A stunner! ♥

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Becky, It does look for all the world like a Kikyo bloom. Very unusual coming from a Youjiro.

Thanks Helena amazing color on your bloom.

Thanks A

This is my 3rd no Mai finally blooming. I'm pretty sure this bloom will change or it's another cross.
We'll just wait and see

This is off of A's White Fuji no Monet x Shibori x Speckled Mxd. Usually I can't get a good shot of a white bloom
This is a prolific bloomer. Thanks A.

Jackie - Your 3rd no Mai is a lovely lavender shade with that bright pink throat! And the white blooms on the cross from A is a beautiful photo! You are getting quite good with that camera!!!

Just a few repeats to post photos of. The foliage is looking pretty nasty now with the rust fungus. :-(

All but one leaf shown in this photo is gone from the rust. But it still bloomed like this! Impressive determination!

Jackie, I was hoping that cross took, boy, I don't remember how many seeds I sent for that one. But if I remember correctly, the white one did not have any pollen anthers at all, so, it had to have taken some off the Fujishibori. The white is pretty though, I got several whites that year from the Fuji no Monet.

Becky, that blue speckled is very nice and looks bigger than the ones I've seen. I lost my Kai no Kasumi vine almost immediately when they germinated this year. I'm going to try again.

Helena, You got a very good looking Black King too. You guys make me wish I had planted some more seeds these past few months but there is so much work to do around here. I'm planning my growing season better this coming year.

Helena - LOL! That DFNM x Keiryu is something else!!! A little fighter!!! Did you get any seeds from it? I am wondering if it will come true from seeds. :-) Love those two purple blooms, too! And your pink one is a beauty!!!

Jackie - Holy Cow!! I can't believe those white leaves! Stunning!!! I sure like heck hope you get seeds! I'd love a couple of seeds if you do! LOVE the foliage!!! I can't even imagine what caused such extreme variegation in the leaves but it sure looks like snow!!! :-) ♥

I have a car full of plants and pots, seedlings and blooming vines both to ake to Arkansas. Now If only I could tear down the moonvine to take it with.. it must have 20 buds forming at once, now..
these are true to color here.. anyone recognise this one?

Debra - I was thinking about you today and knew you were probably getting packed up for the trip to be with your sister! I think that is wonderful that you are taking most of the vines! It will give you both something to delight in! You know my prayers are with Sherry! Tuesday, right?

This one is beautiful: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=8769814 And so are the rest! Such vivid colors and so pretty. I love that last one a lot, too! I don't know off hand what ya got there. Will have to take a better look at them later and try to remember if they match anything that I have grown in the past. I am on my way to bed and caught your posts and wanted to comment! My first day back to work in the morning! Oh joy! :-) Should be an interesting day! Boy! Did my summer break end quickly. lol

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Thanks, Becky. Wish I were taking all the vines around the arbor, but since Joe likes them so much, I am sure he will take pictures.
