I'm partial to Fuji no Sora, I think it's always picture perfect.

WoW !!! What for a foliage !

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Gautier, MS

Debra, I have changed my mind, now I don;t think it looks like Purple Saz. But something must have made me think that when I first saw that bloom. I think its possibly from A Murasaki, the diluted as Becky suggested.

Dany, weird isn't it? No Sora should not have marbled white foliage. If I recall correctly, no Sora was sitting in close proximity to a SunSmiles last yr. It's foliage was also almost pure white. So might have crossed.

Helena, lovely blooms. I;m shocked by what the Pink Silk is doing.

Dany's Purple Stripes bloom today.

Debra, look at your post #'s 8758670 and 8760144, previous thread, both appear to be the diluted. DFNM
I don;t know how to put them side by side to make a better comparison. so I had to go back and forth between
the two trying to make mental notes, lol, that didn't work.

Linda, forgot to tell you, your pic on the last thread, # 5374 looks a lot like Pres Bush.

Gautier, MS

Silly me ! why I thought Debras bloom was AoMurasaki Yousiro blizzard!

Jackie - I agree with Dany! I saw the foliage on your Fuji no Sora bloom in the first post and said, "Holy Cow!" That vine is truly outstanding in so many ways! You got yourself one heck of a cross! :-) Lovely Purple Stripes today, too!

Helena - My pink silk vine started producing white blooms as the vine at the end of it's life cycle. I have no idea if the seeds from any of those white blooms will produce a vine of white blooms or have the real pink silk blooms come true. Love those speckles! And lavender plum is looking mighty fine!

Thanks Becky, I have at least 1 sd pod forming. I hope it makes more blooms and sds.

Hope I get lots of sds from count Drac too. I love sharing these.

The wind tore up a few vines, so I am trying for cuttings..
can't wait for my count drac to bloom, it is entwined with the over wintered moon vine on the patio, it is HUGE.
Love your bloom, Jackie

Jackie - Love your Count Dracula bloom! Such a beautiful shade of blue! I don't remember mine ever being that blue!

Debra - What a great idea to root a vine in a vase with Bamboo! I have some tall bamboo growing in a vase too! I may use your idea if I need to root one of mine! Your I. Plantesis looks so gungho! I don't know what you are feeding them, but they sure do look happy and thriving! Love that purple bloom with white rays! Looks sort of like a Fuji no Monet not. You've got some beauts growing on your arbor!

This one is stunning! http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=8763794

Cool looking pink speckles! You should cross that one with any of the others that are blooming! Sometimes you get some really interesting crosses by doing that! I love the speckled genes! Nice purple color of the one on that edge of your pond. Sure enjoyed all your photos! And am looking forward to more! :-) :-)

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Debra and Becky,
Becky I love it when my Drac blooms turn out this blue. In the afternoon, it will fade to lavender.
Gorgeous blooms youre getting Debra. I love the one that looks like the diluted on the arbor,
your Pink Speckled and the purple bloom at the edge of the pond, its a beauty

I'm getting my first blooms from the Kikyo Confetti Mix from Lake Mary's. These are growing indoors on the windowsills. I have about 15 plants growing, and while each plant isn't producing speckled blooms (yet), each has differently shaped and/or colored leaves. Very interesting genetics!

Blue-purple with very slight light bluish picotee

edit: Oops! This one is actually from a packet of double blue platycodon-flowered asagao rather than Lake Mary's 'Confetti Mix'. :-)

Thanks Jackie. I do too! ;-)

Beautiful blooms, Nick! I got some of the Kikyo Confetti Mix from Lake Mary's, too! Hope to be growing some of the seeds very soon indoors. :-) Love that speckled one! :-)

No Mai today

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Jackie - WOW! Love the colors in that striped bloom. I wonder if it is a cross? Most Mai are pink, not that pretty purple color that you are getting!

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

The no Mai above is the same one that started out as a pale color.
Heres one of the 1st blooms on this no Mai. Unbelievable change.
Lol Becky, you know I always have to get something weird. Makes my life more exciting.

Becky, Heres a shot of no Mai on the front porch earlier this summer ( a totally different vine)
This bloom reminds me of
China Doll more than a no Mai. When I grew no Mai in 09, I had a China Doll on the front porch too.

Jackie - Your Pink Striped one looks exactly like Miko no Mai:

I am not sure what the purple/lavender blooms are. I think they may be a BEAUTIFUL cross, Jackie! You do get some amazing crosses! I am still in love with your Fuji no Sora cross. It is gorgeous!!!

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Me too! In Love with the Purple striped one.
Nick your blooms are very very pretty!

Debra - I love your Sunflower! Mine are all gone. Squirrels enjoyed the seeds! I will definitely be growing them again next year! Antoinette sent me a SF seed mix, so that will be fun to see what grows from all those seeds!

Love your vines growing up the stalks! Perfect "pole" to climb! :-)

Your lavender kikyo is very pretty! Love the white border on the petals!
