This is a gardening site. Surely we can focus on gardening themes that will be of benefit to all of us (or at least some of us some of the time)?

I'm just not in to who is raising chickens or what your favorite snack is. Other people might be and that's fine for them. Just stating my preference.

Here are some ideas:

Where do you buy your annuals?
How often do you mulch?
What do you mulch with?
When does winter come for you?
Do you grow plants from seed?
Do you have a greenhouse?
When you trade, do you throw in extras?
How often do you water your plants in the summer?
Have you ever visited other DG members in person?
Do you participate in plant swaps?
Where do you buy shrubs/trees?
Have you ever ordered plants from an on-line company?
Have you ever ordered plants from a seller on ebay?
Do you do your gardening in the morning or afternoon?
Does anyone else in your family help in your gardening?

These are just ideas, but it's a possibility for starting some good gardening conversations. Who knows, we might all learn something.

No offense to anyone, but we're not likely to learn much by having "silly" questions.

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

That is a GREAT list of questions, smiln32! Some of them could easily be worked into a multiple-choice vote. And I liked Mikepiper's idea of a vote on favorite gardening tool, also :)

Toadsuck, TX(Zone 7a)

No offense, taken. But we do need some levity also.

"eyes"

Middle, TN(Zone 6b)

Yeah, I have been breaking my back all day carrying in plants to save them from the freeze. Right now I could use a little humor to lessen my pain. Point well taken though Smiln_32. Some of us get a bit too silly I guess. I will just blame mine on senility but don't know what you silly young'ins are gonna blame it on. I would hate to hear what Horseshoe would blame his on. Someone quickly ask him!!!!!

Seymour, IN(Zone 5b)

What was the first thing you grew from seeds?
What was the first garden plant you purchased?
Should all highways be seeded with native wildflowers rather than grass?

Washington, DC(Zone 7a)

Baa, How do you invite wildlife into your garden?

You throw a party, what else. :)

Oh, that wasn't a riddle was it?

zeb

Zeb

I'm the last person to ask about wildlife in the garden, theres a thread on it somewhere in garden talk. I don't recall ever throwing a party for them! LOL
