Thanks, Connie!

Lynn, seems like Debary's Embers looks very similar to Strawberry Patch. Hard to tell but I do love it. Maybe next trade keep me in mind for it:) OMG...I hate sounding like a beggar.

Lynn, I recognize episcia 'Unpredictable Valley' in your photo, too. A favorite.

Episcia 'Pink Panther' grows large and I love it especially when it's blooming with it's pink flowers. This one is loaded with buds and I'll take another pic when it blooms.

Great pictures Heidi! Debary's Embers reminds me of Temptation. The one in front came from you a few years ago and is the regular,as opposed to Canadian,Cleopatra.I wish my Pink Panther looked anything like that!

LOL,you do not sound like a beggar!

Wow..your episcias look wonderful! Debary's Embers is really nice. Are you still growing Unpredictable Valley?

I have never had that one.The picture you are seeing is when I scale back on size and plant Episcias in a community tray for winter. This year I may try an indoor greenhouse or wrapping a shower curtain around my stands.Debary's Embers has a yellowish flower with orange markings.

I have clear shower curtains around my stand (2 worked perfectly) with the front open which gives me easy access. It helps keep the humidity up some. I will close it more during the winter in hopes it will stay warmer and prevent cold drafts.
Your episcia community box looks wonderful. I planted some Alice's Aussie very small cuttings in a plastic shoebox and placed on my front porch this summer. They loved the heat and humidity.

I'll send a not so good photo along but you'll get the idea.

Heidi,
That's gorgeous! If you get a chance please post a picture of how you do your shower curtains. My plant/computer room is on the Northeast side of the house. In the winter,at night,it sometimes drops below 60.In the daytime the humidity is low from the furnace running.

P.S. I wish I could show everyone all my better pictures. My son sent me a new computer in June, expecting to be here in July and transfer everything from the old computer. My Photoshop is also on it.,I am using Picassa right now,but no matter how I think I have saved my pictures, when I remove them from the program they are gone forever....GRRRR!

Frederick, MD(Zone 7a)

I wrapped my chrome stand with two shower curtain liners. Two liners completely wrap the stand perfectly. I hung the curtains with chrome 'S' type hooks as shown. I bought the heavier quality liners with magnets on the bottom for weight and would recommend them. The magnets will adhere to the stand on the bottom if you want and the weights make the liners hang better anyway so the extra money for them is worth it.

Computer problems are maddening and I hope you can get straightened out soon!

Heidi,
Thanks for the picture.I think I might try that.If I get a little greenhouse I would have to rig up lights and I wouldn't have enough room for another chrome stand....should I need one LOL.

Actually my computer is fine.I think I need to find a different photo program.

install the program that came with your camera and work with it. Picasa takes so much computer memory....My alices aussie is very beautiful but nothing like yours Heidi. But it just stays outside in the heat, humidity and rain every PM Maybe I should fertilize or something?

Frederick, MD(Zone 7a)

helene...The Alice's Aussie in the photo is a bit pampered on my covered front porch so it is protected from rain..what rain lately??...and from any wind. I water with tepid water and feed with dilute fertilizer now and then.

Where you live, Longboat Key, is so beautiful.

Helene,
Thank you,but my camera is so old I don't have a program for it.Once my files are transferred I will have Photoshop back.

Lynn
