Morning Glories 2011 #10

Gautier, MS

Wow, lots of pretty blooms!!

Jackie, love your Weird Saz and no Mai!!

Becky, love your collage of Aomurasai Youjiro Blz. and your Mauve Splash just makes me drool even more. So glad they have been giving you such awesome blooms.

Antoinette, your blooms are really neat too! Thank you for the compliments. I'm having a blast with all the mgs I'm growing this year and quite a few are from you. So thank you for sharing your seeds with me.

I'm getting too much rain now, almost every day and too many are repeats. I had a few pods germinate on the vines, so I'll be growing more repeats.

Another vine with Antoinette's Hanna Hubuki x choco rose F1.

Jackie - Love your Mai bloom and that no Sora cross is stunning! I adore all the different shades of blue in it! It looks like it is reverting back to the spokes and a paler blue color! Really neat! Sweet little Milky Way bloom, too! :-)

A - Those reverse tube blooms are really something! I wonder why you are getting so many of them? What fertilizer or amendments to your soil are you using? LOL! Perhaps the reverse tube is a dominate gene and you've got a lot of crosses that are producing that many vines/blooms with that trait? Either way, it sure is really nice to see such blooms! :-) Love those cuties!

I love your cattle panel arbor and all that lush growth! Amazing! Mine look skimpy compared to yours! It looks beautiful!

I am with Debra ... I am always starting MG seeds, too! Or transplanting them. Or collecting seeds and pulling them up to discard as there are always some on their last leg! LOL!

Thanks, Helena! I missed your photos! Glad you are back! Is this one a new vine from A's seeds? http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=8722863

Sorry to hear that Lav-plum is proving to be sterile. Grrr ... Maybe as it starts winding down, it will kick it into gear and make seeds from the later blooms. :-) I liked this one, too: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=8722873 Especially the little pink ring around it's throat. Nice one! WOW! This one is really nice: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=8722878 It looks like this one in PF: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/45276/, but it also looks similar to this one: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/54045/

I got 4 beautiful blooms on your Fuji no Monet vine, Helena!

As the vine ages, it looks like the blooms are becoming more diluted! I love it! Thanks for sharing those seeds, Helena!

Here is a huge Sazanami bloom compared to a Mauve Splash bloom. I so love Sazanami!!!!

The vine that had two split petal blooms in a row produced this full bloom today. Notice the throat flag. ;-)

I love this photo I got of a side view of this Mauve Splash bloom.

Another bloom opened up this morning. The patterns seem to be more uniform. I'll have my fingers crossed that this one will come true from seed.

Thanks Helena, love all your blooms, esp the lavender plum. I agree with Becky, it might start making sds when the temps cool off some. A wonderful Blue Tie dye? I am partial to the Tie Dyes or anything similiar, so pretty.

Becky, outstanding blooms, love the no Monet. Great photo of your striking Mauve Splash, one of my favorites
The purple Ao Murasaki ? is drop dead gorgeous with so many blooms open at once

Beckys beautiful Pink Silk, large bloom between 4 and 5 inches across.

I don't know what to make of this bloom tagged no Mai. Variegated lvs and a tiny bloom about 2 1/2 inches across.

Thanks Becky and Jackie.

Becky #872863 is another of Antoinettes seeds Hanna Hubuki x choco rose F1. Very pretty blooms! And the other is probably a tie dye, it hasn't had any solid blue blooms though.

I'm glad you like Fuji no Monet and that you're getting neat blooms from it! Love your huge Saz bloom and your Mauve Splash is awesome. The other blooms are gorgeous too!

Jackie your Pink Silk is gorgeous, had one less pink today too! Your no Mai might just be throwing a different bloom! I like when my blooms vary!

This gorgeous one is from your seeds Jackie!

Jackie - Beautiful Pink Silk! (Thanks to Dany for originally sharing those seeds with me! I knew everyone would love to grow them, too!) Neat little cross ya got there with the Mai! I am curious to see what the future blooms will look like! :-)

Helena - :-) WOW! Nice purple with white spokes! Looks like a Fuji and love all the blooms showing off at the same time! Lots of awesome vines you are growing and getting so many pretty blooms from! How many new ones are you planning to start?

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

oh my, all of these blooms are gorgeous. I can't pick a favorite. So beautiful!

Gautier, MS

Thanks Becky and Debra!

Becky the one above is Jackies Fake Fuji no Monet, had to look it up, too many names to remember.

Not counting the ones that are already germinated, I started soaking 17 different ones of my favorites and on those some have 2 or 3 seeds. But I chose a few more to soak today, so I'm not done, going to start a few my daughter liked so she can grow them!

Debra and Helena - Thank you for the kind compliments! I sincerely appreciate it!

Helena - Wow ... that one looks elegant! Like soft velvet! 17 new vines sounds like a good plan to me! :-)

Gautier, MS

Thanks Becky, it's a NOID from Karen2005. I think I'll have to buy more dirt cause I want to grow them in pots.

Last one, Pink Silk, thanks Becky for the seeds you shared with me!

Helena - Your Pink Silk looks like a possible cross. Can't wait to see future blooms from it. Really nice!! Maybe a blizzard pattern?

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Helena, your Pink Silk is lovely too. I like your purple Fuji, the fake no Monet, a beauty in its own right

Gautier, MS

Thanks Becky and Jackie. So far the pink silk has had this same type of bloom, I like crosses!! I'm getting lots of blooms on fake no monet, Jackie.

Oh Helena and Becky, Jackie, they are beautiful.., I love that speckled trio, very nice photo. You should make yourselves a calendar using your own photos, that would be a real keepsake for your families.

Helena - OMG! Those speckles are amazing! I love the kikyo blue speckles! It's really worth taking a second (or even a third) look! Beautiful! Wonderful blooms you posted today! I am enjoying them all!

This is so funny ... I think Helena's blue speckles sent vibes out to Jackie's and my Blue Speckles vines and said, "Everyone blooms today!" LOL! Mine bloomed today, too! I think they are all F1's from my mother vine that I grew last year. ESP ...

those speckled blooms are so unusual and pretty.. really wish they would stay open long enough to show other people , don't you?
