Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

think this is a nikko hydrangea - only blooms if i wrap it in the winter

Thumbnail by wha

You asked me how Nikko Blue did for me. Well it got mowed over as it did not rebloom last year.

mowed over? if it didn't bloom you could have given to one of our jersey girls - that was not very smart. it is probably still there in the ground unless you dug it up

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

you should try these sherrie - oakleaf hydrangeas

I didnt mow it over Jim did at the begining of the mowing season. I will go look but dont think there is anything left. In fact they were not even healthy.

Allison, that photo of the hummer in the blue salvia is a winner...it should be framed! Today I planted salvias Raspberry Wine & Sapphire Blue along with fuchsia Orange Dragon...I have not seen one hummer, or hummingbird moth, or many butterflies or bees.....it's scaring me! Let's see if the new flowers bring some in.....

Jen lots of pretty yellow I love hot pink with yellow..

Lovely DLs Robin!

Victor great shots! I am envious, if I take a shot of a butterfly in flight it shows up as a blur.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Victor.. love that PS.. and of course your flutter!!... figured it easier to look at 40 photos with a tune.. posted the white bird in the id forum.. was not sure if it was an albino mourning dove.. or something else

Southeastern, NH(Zone 5b)

I'm going through my pictures from yesterday evening and today and I have 7 blurred photos of the same butterfly! lol Here's a nice shot of Joan Senior today
