Thanks!

I've seen so few butterflies this year that I get really excited whenever I see one. I've been seeing a lot of white ones and almost none of other types this year.

Those are beautiful pics!!! I have a plate of fruit hanging from one of my trees, but the only thing I have seen on it are ants! ^_^ The temps are so high it dries it out pretty fast. I put water on it every day thinking at least they could get a drink there. I change the fruit every weekend. I have seen some that look like a buckeye, but are much smaller. Between the size of a skipper and a regular buckeye. Haven't got a shot of it yet.

Now we know where all the butter flies are!! I ahve to unload camera...but had a TST and have a BST cat on the fennel!

Algonquin, IL(Zone 5a)

jmorth - Beautiful! Were you actually inside the Conservatory with the butterflies? I've read about lots of places where you can do that.

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

Love those places Jack, especially in the winter.

I think I saw it approx 1 o'clock position. lol. I'm used to that type of photos for have plenty of practice. lol Such as this one. Can we find the get-away hummingbird? LOL Oh there was an escape. For he was faster than this one that got caught. lol

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Sand Springs (Tulsa), OK(Zone 7a)

Love that b'fly in flight. Great shot!

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

About 11 or 12, got his green on!! Like the previous hummer pic too BCH.
Love the action shot Nanny! I had two BST that finally pupated somewhere....didn't bring them in. I tend to forget them when I only have a couple. I do have about 6 or 8 in chrysalis that are slowly emerging one by one. They pupated about 6 wks ago I think. Could be they are waiting for cooler temps....aren't we all?

Sand Springs (Tulsa), OK(Zone 7a)

I see it at 12 o'clock as well. It's beak is facing to the right side, wings are blurry, but see the green body. Right?

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Have you a stunning pic. of a header-quality photo? If so please may I volunteer you to open next thread? Please, please. This thread is getting quite long and we have found BCH's hidden hummingbird , mystery solved. LOL
