I have the 24-300 VR, Christina. Just got it about 1 1/2 months ago and like it a lot.
Miscellaneous Shots 2011 - No. 4
Thanks Victor, I'll take a look at that one too.
It's almost twice the price, but I like the versatility of the focal length range. But for the long shots you will be looking for in AK, the 70-300 should be fine.
We have a decent 28-70 VR but it would be nice to not have to change lenses and miss a good photo op . Camera is a D100. Although we are tempted to upgrade...can't go to AK without all the right equipment :-) I forget what you have for a camera?
I have the D300S.
enjoy alaska soj - we may be going away and i will upgrade the camera when and if that happens - been hard for me to pull the trigger and spend that kind of money when there are so many jm's available - so does this mean i will be on my own for another lantern?
Thanks, Bill. Alaska is not till next summer. Just trying to spread the costs by getting camera equipment this year. So I could probably be persuaded to consider another lantern... ;) I already know where I want one...
Jen, the spider's legs are striped like the garden spider.....it's a helpful critter......
good to know soj - i will watch for the sale like last year - around t-day
