DAILY BIRD PICS VOL. 405

(Zone 5a)

My son took this one. He gets a kick out of the big birds coming to the feeders. We do not get a heap of the Red-wingeds so I am not too bothered by it. The females rarely ever come by though. I suppose they have enough food where they are.

Nanny, love your little wp-so sweet!

Lily, cute nuthatch!

Adel, congrats on the new towhee. I just got my first photo of one and had to have Resin identify it. Great shot of the swallow too!

Chilly, glad you're enjoying the red-winged.

I think this is a juvie Brewer's Blackbird.

The Ash-throated Flycatchers were everywhere this morning, but never close enough for better pictures.

How wonderful that you've gotten so many 'babies' of such a variety of birds there Duc.

I had a new yard bird today!
The only Yellow-headed Blackbirds I've seen before were over at Klamath. The females didn't have nearly as much yellow as this one.

Congrats tiger!

tigerlily, that is a great yardbird! I think I saw one once, but we were going 55mph on the road, so couldn't be sure. It flew off a fence post.

Congratulations Tiger, the yellow-headed sure are beautiful birds.

Here's one of many younger Scrub Jays.

I loved the look on this sweet oriole as it watched another one above it.
