Summer Blooms (June Blooms part 2)

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

This red salvia is opening up. I think it's going to be gorgeous on 4th of July. I figured out that the blue salvia is a mealy blue sage. LOL

Who remembers who I got the red salvia from at the RU in Arlington in May? Is it a perennial or do I need to save seeds?

This little Katie's pink ruellia has been growing in my cement slab for a couple of years. Every year I think it won't come back and every year it does. I think it does it just to spite me! LOL

Does this happen to your Blanket flower Arizona Sun? Maybe I should have trimmed it back earlier in the season.

Anna...The first Clematis, is it not trellised? Very pretty one. As for the blanket flower, I have never gotten one to return and get that large to know! LOL!

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

It isn't a climber. It goes over whatever it is near. I like that it adds a layer of interest and if it isn't blooming there isn't any big gap.

too hot here to breathe, but the hibiscus seem to love it. I can enjoy and photograph them from inside the house

Looks like their feet are near the pond, probably the ideal place for them.
