This is the thread to declare what you are planning to bring for the Pot Luck Lunch at our RU. Hank and I will provide all the paper and plastic goods (plates, utensils, cups, etc.) along with ice and some kind of drinks (yet to be decided). I'll also make something edible once I see what we might need. Speak up and I will edit this first post to list what people want to bring as you "declare" your dishes. Thanks!

Food Thread for DonnieBrook's July 16 RU
Well, I could bring the deviled eggs again, but if you'd rather, I could bring an orzo salad.....
I vote for your deviled eggs, but hey, that's just me! lol
OK...anyone else can chime in if they want to.....
deviled eggs are always good.. I will do the pasta veggie salad.. travels well
I vote bumble!!
Your vote is noted. ^_^
what is bumble pie?
home made crust or store bought?
Oh, Pixie, ....too hard to choose! I want them both! OK, Allison, if you're doing the pasta salad, I'll do the dev. eggs.....
All I can say is: mmmmmmmmmmm. I vote for any and all! lol
Bill! It's a homemade pie.......
i am in then:) just teasing btw
I'm thinking I can get DW to make her veggie squares. It's minced veggies (brocolli, onion, cauliflower, etc) on cream cheese on pie crust.
Sounds yummy....
Hmmmm, my post about those veggie squares went "poof!" those sound great, Frank!
I'm not liking being out here in the woods with only a flaky signal for my iPhone and no laptop. My eyes are feeling the strain.
sounds good Frank!!... time to upgrade to an ipad Louise
I'd love an iPad, Allison, but I just checked the going price with Verizon and I'll have to wait a bit. Hank's big birthday took priority this spring!! His birthday trip to Lake Morey golf resort is coming up at the end of the month. I invited our golfing buddy couple, so that took care of discretionary spending for awhile. Well worth it! He's very excited about it.
oh that's so nice.. good for you
What a thoughtful gift!
Thanks, guys! I'm happy about it. He so deserves a special treat!! He's always wanted to play there, so hopefully it will be good weather and a fun time for all.
will keep fingers & toes crossed for you
Yay! Thanks!
Sounds like a great trip!
We're now about 2 weeks away, so please post what you are planning to bring as soon as it is convenient. Thanks!
DW (Bonnie) is making her "veggie squares" to bring to the RU. Bonnie and I are the only two in our party. Squares are described in my last post above.
Oh, yum, Frank! Thank you for the confirmation! Looking forward to meeting you and Bonnie!
I put in some purslane to pickle yesterday so I will be bringing it as a relish. Yes it is a weed - however it is nutritionally dense and grows everywhere. I will bring something else, too. and any blackberries that are ripe. :)
I will be bringing a Lamb's Quarters Quiche.

Memory have any figs I can steal??
;)
I will have to look and see if anything is rooted enough to cut from the tree.
I bought 2 this year.. I have 3 little ones on the one .. hope I get em before the critters do!!.. but would not complain if you have another for me!!
Sounds like some yummy stuff. I will bring my sweet bell pepper salad with glazed, slivered almonds. Don't know what Karen will bring yet. Will have to think of something for Dad to bring. How about a potato salad?
Karen
All sound great to me!
still have to think about what to bring for food - have to talk to the boss
I'm thinking we'll grill "Bill's dogs" because I can cook them inside if it rains that day. Those dogs went lickety split at Bill's RU, so Hank and I will just be copycats. LOL Everything I've seen mentioned so far goes great with Vienna dogs!
actually they are Cindy's dogs:)
Oops! My apologies to my friend, Cindy! I thought the awesome potato salad was Cindy's and you were the DogMan!! They are GOOD dogs in any event!
