And the enigmatic: ipomoea purpurea with variegated foliage.

Why only some leaves are variegated?

Gel for water retention for me: a false good solution!
Plant and also MG need to have occasionally thirsty! the soil must be dry!
With this product it is wet all the time , symptoms of too much water and lack of water are the same with MG.
By late afternoon the surface of the pot is dry it is believed to be watered but the inside of the pots is still very wet so a risk of root asphyxia.

I love to water my MG in the evening ... it relaxes me!

I like the blues, too! I like the surprises! I just have to keep my composure while photographing them. LOL! Sometimes they are so beautiful, it's hard to hold the camera still. I just want to stand there a while and enjoy the view! :-)

All gorgeous blooms Dany, your mauve star cross bloom opens a lot more than mine making it a nicer mg!

Lovely, Dany!

I actually like this one: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=8639479 I like the ones with odd colors. I like that gray color. :-)

szarvas, Hungary

Cold front, we had two nights cooler ... this is sufficient to reduce the size of the flowers and the colors do not show!
Fortunately there are some hollyhocks!

Dany - Please send your cold front my way ... I could sure use some cooler weather! It's miserable here.

Your hollyhocks are beautiful. I enjoyed my first red hollyhock blooms this year. I love them! Another new plant that I found out that I can grow here in my zone and climate. It's all good! :-)
