Blooms 2011 #8
Wow, wow, wow! Beautiful blooms from everyone!! And the blue winged girl is so, soo pretty!
WC, I think your viticella is venosa violacea.
(thanks Allison!)
- Yes Louise, it is, still on the plant-files queue since yesterday, along with a Crassula Perforata Variegata I submitted. ☺

love your rare treat... and the tunias!!!
Very nice, Christina! That is very weird with CF. Never saw that.
Are you sure your amsonia is Blue Star?? Foliage does not look right. Looks more like Blue Ice. And so does the deeper blue.
Oops - you're right, Victor. It's Blue Ice. Thanks!
I keep thinking the CF will open eventually, but they never do. The flowers fade and die off like this. It's maddening!
Do they get a lot of sun?
Not truly full sun - maybe 4 hours of afternoon sun. It's enough for the roses to bloom just 2 feet away. And I have other clematis in more shade than this. Does CF need more sun than other clems?
Don't know, but mine get way more than that - about six or seven hours at least.
I don't think I have anywhere else I can put it that will get more sun. I'm not very nurturing when it comes to under-performing plants so I may just rip it out :(
Just gorgeous blooms everyone!!!
Christina's brutal!! ^_^ I'm the same.
Poor clem :(
I can't find where the comment was, but Karen mentioned a garden tour for $30???? How many houses? The one I went to was only $10 advanced, $15 the day of
Very pretty blooms Songs, I love 'DO TELL'.
wow is that nice!!
I don't know about Songs, but RT is one of my favorites. :)
very nice all
christina is do tell a peony? if you rip out CF i would be willing to dig it out and take it home:)
Do Tell is a lovely Japanese style peony.
You can tell bothersome weather. My fingers keep putting in extra letters which I have to edit out.
nice - i got three last fall in a sale so good to see it in "real" life:)
Celeste, I do love Rare Treat. I just got it last year after the blooms were mostly faded so this is really my first season with it and it's really an eye catcher. Your photo of it is beautiful!
'Do Tell' is indeed a peony, Bill. I attached a better pic (imo) than what I posted earlier. I am pretty certain I will be yanking CF. I planted it with the intention of letting it climb an iceberg rose, but the clem is growing faster than the rose so it is really in a bad spot altogether. I'll hold off until you drop by :)
Oops, cross posted.
