Blooms 2011 #8
Thanks, Rama!
Oops, I forgot to add the link in the old thread. Thanks Victor.
Jen did.
Saw that. alright, time to hit the sack, was watching french open, this one's ugly, may be would still be running when I wake up in the morning.
Great pictures Rama! Great blooms! I just cut down my salvia stalks, they were done. Go figure, but my hydrangeas are nowhere near blooming. Funny how the zones are not true predictors of what will bloom, when.
Ohhhhhh, you got lily buds!!!!!!! Nice poppies too!!!
Thanks Pixie
Its driving me nuts.Sooooo many OP's buds split just ready to open but NOOOO.
Most are plants from a co-op that have taked 3 years to produce blooms.
Still too dark to check. Maybe today.
the wind beat the heck out of mine.. stuck a plant support behind em to hold em up
that plum is outstanding!!
wish i could remember the name.
the photo doesnt show how deep the color is.
it might be "Chilled Wine"
Love Patty's Plum!
Nice poppies Joann.
Wait Allison!!! did you mean the poppy or the siberian?
oops the poppy
Lovely soft lilac. I like borders. The TBI 's are so ungainly looking and need stakeing here in the wind.
I need some poppies
LOVE 4th of July
Went on a garden tour today, cut a little short by 2 houses by my son being very disobediant. Hubby ended up working today so I had to take the kids...ugh
It was a driving tour and they were very well organized, maps and booklets about the owners were provided and then they had balloon attached to watering can signs with arrows at each intersection and then also at the houses as you'll see in the pics

The first house was AWESOME, very quirky and eclectic
House #3 was my favorite, had order to it but then surprises and really neat touches thrown in
At house #4 my kids got to release a monarch butterfly
Don't know why house #5 was even on the tour, I didn't see any gardens
House #7 is my favorite house around here, I LOVE the architecture, of course, this is were my son ruined the day. The owner is an Iris society member and didn't have enough time to talk with her...oh well
They have these tours every 2 years so hopefully will have this garden on the tour again
Beauties today! Have to download some pics.
Really loving Geranium Biokovo Karmina as a ground cover and for nice pink blooms - held well above the foliage. It's nice and dense.
Jen, what a wonderful day for you....I totally understand about the son! Victor, I thought my son took all of mine, but I see a plant emerging from the rocks in the wall.....
Pic #7 in the first house, those squares hanging from the tree were mirrors, she had a few of them thruout
Never thought of that!
Very nice Jen.
nice Jen... I am uploading video from Well Sweep as I type.. we had such a great time
Nice tour Jen!
