48° I haven't listened to the weather reports as yet.
Weather in Your Garden # 98
Last nice day before the next batch of hideous weather rolls in. 70 and sunny.
It's a beauty of a day! Will be 75 & sunny, but showers this afternoon....need them desperately! Will be visiting Pfg's garden later today......
HUMID- had to turn the a/c back on
71° 73% humidity
70° & bright sun.
78°, H 41%, mostly sunny
At our high for today, dropping to 59° tonight. Tomorrow it starts to get hot sticky & muggy again.
80 and sunny, with 45% H. Just in from planting a few small plants and doing more cleaning, cutting. Too hot in the sun, but nice in the shade. Nice breeze.
87 and breezy.
High was 81 with a breeze. Everything is dried out. Spent the afternoon watering at school and home. Its supposed to get hotter and hotter each day until Friday. It's the humidity that's going to get us though. The ac is on, probably for the week.
ok downstairs.. upstairs it's 80.. might have to breakdown and put the ac on before bedtime.. if it doesn't cool off up there
Attic fan will suffice here.
66° at the moment but was in the 70s earlier. Difficult to work in the afternoon sun.
Had a lovely time looking at the terraced gardens Pfg is restoring, & an awesome, historic house! Came home with some plants I don't have, & in time to enjoy the one shower that hit CT today.....my plants are smiling!
68º right now, 95º by Thursday, humidity on the rise. I'm getting a sinking feeling that this summer is beginning to shape up just like last summer. I only got two inches of rain in May and so far, not even a quarter inch in June. Has anyone tried the lawnbelt irrigation system?
I hope not! Last year was a horror. I had 3.5" in May. Nothing in June so far.
Weeze... look at the rest of the months forecast
http://www.accuweather.com/us/nj/denville/07834/forecast-month.asp
My sprinkler is on right now. I know they say night watering is not good, but I can't get the water to everything in the morning. I have crunchy grass already. Also, I will never plant any good sized perennial or shrub without water crystals. The stuff I planted out front, most of which is in full blazing sun, is holding it's own. They got the crystals. So did the Stewartia that is loaded with buds!
That's Denville, though. For it to rain here, I have to see 80% chance or it just doesn't happen. Jen lives in the sweet spot. Good dirt, no rocks or sand, and just the right amount of rain.
House behind me is for sale!!!!!
You scared them off?! Must be the berm.
These are the 3rd family that have lived there in the 6 years we've been there. 1st lady(original owner) her hubby died in a white water rafting accident, 2nd family hubby and wife got divorced, now this one haven't seen them to ask but when they moved in he was talking to my hubby and he said this was the last house they were going to buy, so I don't know what happened
What are they asking????
yeah broke down and put the air on last night.. was 79 still upstairs last night... bad news is it cooled off overnight.. oh well.. need that attic fan like Victor.. 58 now going to 88
Forecast changed a bit. 67º now, 97º tomorrow.
Was really cool last night with the fan. Had to turn it off.
Nasty few days coming. Ugh.
71, with 73% H.
going to be a hot week - sprinklers have been moving about the yard for a week now
I have to start watering the lawn today, actually I should have done it this am..
81°, wind from the Northwest at 8 mph, H 43%, sunny
Going up to 84° today, sunny & hot, - tonight's low 66.
We have a daytime watering ban & don't use sprinklers asway. We do have soaker hoses laid out but have not had to use them as yet. DH ignores the grass anyway. It always comes back even after last summer's drought. Never plant the bluegrass so loved by landscapers. I t loves water, fescue is better.
Dry, but very hot out there. Getting my pool going today. 87, with 38% H.
Neighbors son is getting his pool ready today.
Soon there be whales here'! ...I wonder how much water 300lbs displaces.
Edit: (forgot the temp, 88°)

The temp is 87 here, 90 in town,,,,nice breeze though, & I walked the dogs on a shady trail by a brook......
89 and humid today. DH just got the bedroom window a/cs in. Should make it easier to sleep.going up to 97 tomorrow. Yuck!
86º now, broke down and put the ac on to get through tomorrow and Thursday. 99º predicted for Thursday.
Have the downstairs a/c on, but the attic fan should be fine upstairs later. Probably will need the a/c the next two nights.
Temperature was 98 in my back yard at 4 pm today. Down to 77 now. Tomorrow is supposed to be worse. Chance of rain is in the 20 percents and that means I won't get any. I'm walking around the house with the water from the dehumidifier to keep the annuals I planted alive for a while. Hooked up the hose and used that the other day on the veges. Tomorrow the sprinkler goes on the school garden before I start work. Oh well. This really does feel just like last year. I have this fear that we're moving into a sort of wet season/dry season pattern here. I'm going to hate that.
I figure I'll turn off the a/c around the end of October..
LOL.. usually about right.. off with the heat.. on with the AC.. off with the AC.. on with the heat
Yep def sounds right
It hit 89°
