A Scrub Jay running off a Steller's Jay.
Daily Bird Pics # 400
Wonderful shots adel!
Adel, some fun action-shots you've. I love that one of the Jays chasing each other. And the Scrub Jay landing by the Ca. Quail. I'm so fond of those quails. Next move, I think I'd want to live in Ca. to see all your western birds. lol Thanks.
Great shots everyone.
We've had two days of rain and cold temps. It sure doesn't feel like spring!
Here's a regular visitor to the "eagle's tree", a juvenile Bald Eagle that looked like it had just come out of the lake. Instead it just sat in the rain for an hour and a half while the crows dove at it and attempted to move it away from their nests.
Beautiful Kite Lew!
LOL duc, That is one sorry looking eagle all drenched with rain. Handsome House Finch!
Wow love that over the shoulder shot! Congratulations Mrs Ed!
Couldn't be any wetter than that, Adel, but they'll be squeaky clean after that rain.
Mrs-Ed, what a good looking bird to have in the yard, Congratulation on your lifer. You can tell him to come on up here now.
He's a cutie for sure Nanny, love all the poses.
The female Evening Grosbeak waiting patiently, for the me to leave, so she can come down for a bite to eat.
Congrats on your 'Lifer' Marna, that's a beauty! To top that off posing among the 'Bleeding Hearts' It's sooooooo pretty. Ahhhh burn, the 'gathering place' is a nice gathering place! I just love those. Aw I love every single one of them. lol
Nan, please send some of those Phoebes to me. I miss their joyfull call in the morning around here. Very nice pics. everyone.
I mistakenly posted this last night as a Western Kingbird. Sometimes looking at those little postage stamp-sized pics when I select them is difficult for old eyes. This is a Great Crested Flycatcher-- a much better bird for me to see. This is my FOS GC, there are always kingbirds in the field behind the house.
