Blooms 2011 #5

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I think the winter killed them.No babiea either. I will look for something else to replace.

Malvern, PA(Zone 6b)

Can the columbines take part sun. I have many babies that the rain brought up.
oh and Clem Jack- can it be in full sun ? Thx in advance.

Yes columbines preferr part shade to some sun.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

nice weeze & rama you guys are ahead of us.

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Thanks Bill, you might be very lucky, a lot of blooms are in the dirt.

Rama, clems like the heads in the sun and their feet in the shade. A sunny location is good for them, just keep their roots shaded from sun.

Thomaston, CT

Am blown away by all those flowers....it's the best time of year, when iris & clems, & roses, & peonies are out......wish they lasted all summer!

This used to be my wildflower garden but I pretty much took it over, filled with daylilies, sedum, iris, penstemon, the rudbeckia is the only annual that was left because it self seeded

love the columbine with the sibs!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

My Walkers Low can get pretty big if I dont cut it back after bloom. I dont seem to have the "re-seed" joys of plants here, that others do. That is ALL plants that reseed and make new ones. I was looking for Caradonna
s and there are none. I deadhead so thats probably why.

Malvern, PA(Zone 6b)

Wow Jen, pretty. Thanks Bill. 'posed to be a nice weekend, need to get the veggies in the ground. Between senior prom yesterday, final soccer weekend and dance recital, chances are slim.
