I think you have a cowbird egg amongst others (perhaps Robin?). I'd remove that one.
Daily Bird Pics Vol # 399
Looks like a cowbird egg at the left: http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=cowbird+egg&prmd=ivns&tbm=isch&sa=X&biw=1173&bih=800
Fairly sure it is legal for you to remove it, but check locally.

Welcome Weerobin & Dogs_N_Petunias!! SO nice to have more new faces here. Hope we see you often!
Adel.....so nice to see one of those cute quails!!
About Cowbird Eggs: I found the following info here http://www.sialis.org/cowbirds.htm
Solutions: Like it or not, Cowbirds are native, so they are protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. This means that in most cases, eggs cannot be removed from nests without a permit. Special permits have been obtained to kill Cowbirds that congregate in enormous flocks and are considered a nuisance. In some spots in states like MI and TX, permits can be obtained to trap Cowbirds to protect endangered species like Kirtland's Warblers. In some areas, monitors are authorized to remove eggs and trap adults after taking a class. Check on local requirements.

Wow so many wonderful, wonderful, photos, Can't get caught up, but loving it all.
Back to previous thread, Linth what great photos, I haven'g seen any of your birds here at my place yet this year. Loved the poem, and especially liked your mad-eyed-Vireo. Hope your wife is recovered from her knee surgery. I am able to now walk around my yard after March major surgery, revision of left hip joint., but have to be careful of uneven places.
Hugger Girl very nice picture of tulips and Oriole, I do have orioles eating grape jelly and oranges
Waxwings have been and gone, and I think most of the White Crowned Sparrows have moved on.
Adel, great shots of your birds, no Grosbeaks or Jays here.
Hack, a pair of Pine Siskins have been fighting my permanently here 2 dozen or so Goldfinches for the feeder space. I'm hoping the Myrtle Warbler shows up. They like my Crataegus, Downy Hawthorn.
Dubuc, So glad to see pictures of your saving the Crow, you and the bucket guy.
I surely did enjoy all the wonderful photos of the last two threads. Thanks everyone.
Donna
Welcome newcomers, glad to have y'all on board. I've no pics. today yet to share. Just to answer your question regarding BBs Hack. I've this particular bird house which the BBs checked it out and showed much interest early on during the season. They did never attempt to build ... then a HOSP showed up this past weekend. I was surprised to see the male Blue Bird came back to discourage the HOSP from taking the nest box. The house is still vacant thus far. I'm hoping the BBs will eventually build on it.
This is the third day and the Summer Tanager is still here. :-))
Nice one!
Even handsomer when they are in someone elses yard, right? Fortunately I don't normally have any around here and not too many starlings.
Daddy brought the juves for breakfast this a.m. They are getting brave enough to come down to the feeder now. Now if I could just have one nice morning to sit outside with good light and not have to take pics through the windows.
Do you think I'm over feeding the Quail?
Nah, noway, nada. LOL, Adel. He's too cute. Lovely pix everyone. Duc I like your Ash-throat Flycatcher. Yesterday afternoon, I was entertained by this Pine Warbler for hours ... while he was foraging along a tree trunk. (pix to follow).
Red, that's one nice capture of the juvie Blue Bird.
Pelle, sorry the grackle is so mean to your birds. He sure is beautiful though.
Red, I got used to shooting pics through the window-yours is wonderful. Dad is a beauty.
Lily, love your little warbler and the goose family.
This looks like a juvenile oriole on the right. I wasn't expecting to see any little ones just yet.
Love the orioles. Don't think I'm going to have any. Between Daddy and the mockingbirds, they aren't allowed in the yard.
Went to a cookout with the OK Master Naturalists last night and toured a member's 10-acre wildscape. They are more into native plants, but have some nice birds as well. It's located in the Crosstimbers which are thick oak. They have cut and mowed serpentine trails all through it. Lovely place.
An Indigo Bunting.
Ah, as I learned from Mrs. Ed. that fly by Pelican is in its breeding season -- as evidence by the 'knob' on its bill. lol. Love your Bewick Wren eyeing the nearly ripe strawberry Duc. Red, one gorgeous Indigo Bunting....that is one bird on my high priority wish list. lol
Enoying all the great photos....I have not been able to get out much like I wish I could.
Lovely shots guys.
We had 2 beautiful days, with lots of activities at the feeders. A new bird showed up and I was pleasantly surprised. It's not common on the daily thread. It is found mostly around Coniferous woods. But you will have to wait for the new thread, before I post it. ;)) Meanwhile.......... you can try guessing.
I can tell you that, it's not an American Goldfinch.
Tehehehehe, you're killing me burn for the wait on your lifer. lol
