I will start with a lifer that recently showed up in the yard and stayed for several hours. It is a Prothonotary Warbler and a real beauty...I hope you agree.

And here is her handsome mate. They have really had to work overtime this spring feeding 6 babes with the awful rain and cold we have had. It looks like the babes will have a bright sunny day for fledging this week.

Lily, your mom cardinal is beautiful. Hope the bluebirds decide to nest in that house.

Hack, forgot to tell you it was good to see you back here.

Rose, your female red-winged is beautiful. Thanks for starting the new thread. Your prothonotary warbler is gorgeous, congrats on this lifer. Love the barn swallow and that Dickissel is another pretty one. Such a pretty lark sparrow and the bbs are so pretty.

Red, good grief, such beautiful birds-the tanager and bunting are stunning and the thrush and green heron were just beautiful.

Nanny, great job on the grosbeak and oriole photos.

Pelle, congrats on that gorgeous tanager.

Lovely series Duc, so many beauties abound. While observing the nesting birds in the garden. I spotted this guy the second time this spring. I'm so pleased. A Great Crested Flycatcher.

Congrats on the tanager, pelle. We do have some good birds in this thread. I saw several tanagers in Mincy-Drury Wildlife Area near Branson. Stopped at Oklahoma's smallest state park, Natural Falls, just across the Arkansas line on Hiway 412 to photograph the falls. To my surprise I called in 3 singing tanagers, saw several Indigos, a pair of Cerulean Warblers and a Northern Parula.

Pic of one of the Indigos.

Dang it! I posted the same pic as before. Let's try again.

And one of a tanager in flight. I found the male tanagers to be very territorial. If I heard one singing in the thick oaks, I could use iBird pro on my phone to call and they came in immediately looking for a trespassing male.
