Gastronomic cacophony?
May food
Chef Alton Brown calls it kitchen "multi-tasking" when you can use products/equipment in many ways.
I just call myself "cheap."
Mom & Dad came up to get pops out of the house for a while.. we all went to Stewarts so he can eat outside
Grilled chops, kitchen-sink-pasta-salad. :)
How is he doing, Allison?
Mmmm......all sounds great....but not the losper, as my niece called it as a child. Usually, pretty good food at the Alumni Banquet.....this year....UGH....the turkey must have been as old as I am, couldn't get a knife in it much less a fork! Had a salad tonight....and a bowl of popcorn!
not sleeping well.. says he has too much anxiety from not getting around like he was.. but says the hip is good... he is making my mom & sister crazy yelling all the time... and says he can't say sorry enough to each of them... I asked why doesn't he just relax and heal... and he just snapped at me and said "yeah sure relax".. LOL.. just not his way.. asked my mom if she can hook him up on the computer playing poker or something.. she is working on it
Sounds like he needs some meds!!
he has them... not working
burgers on the grill. DH had to finish them in the rain as a storm came through.
Allison, I can sympathize.....I was hard to live with when I had the broken hip......it was the peak of the gardening season, the family was picking all the veggies, but no one was weeding, watering, etc. I was very frustrated. Anyway, small picnic today....am making bratwurst and potato salad, coleslaw & baked beans.....if the weather doesn't clear, it will be an indoors picnic.....
Another instance of 'healthy' organic food killing people.

Happens here too. Remember the spinach outbreak a few years ago? When manure is used as fertilizer, E. coli is always possible.
Had hubby's family over yesterday.
Had ribs, steak, chili, clams, cole slaw, potato salad, green salad, fresh cucs and tomatoes, deviled eggs, chocolate covered strawberries, cheesecake
I was going to make a strawberry rhubarb pie but the crust burst so I made it a fruit crisp and used the topping that was going to go on the pie...came out great!
again... I want pie!!!.. going to have to make one
Mmmm, sounds great, Jen. Scary article, Victor.....makes me want to cook everything, but I do love my salads.....
This just confirms for me I need to get moving on my veggie garden
Me too! I use cow manure, but it's aged some what and we are very careful...still you never know!!
It's pretty scary.
going to need a bigger greenhouse.. LOL
Had leftovers tonight....just too tired to cook anything.....
Pepper steak.
Wouldn't it be cool to have a group of close friends who cook well - say five, each cook for everyone in the group ONE weeknight per week? I would like that.
I would LOVE that!
I would love that too!!.. I opened a can of soup for dinner.. the campbells extra noodle doesn't have yeast in it .. won't bug my allergy
Too bad we don't all live closer. I would love that too. I don't mind going all out one day.
I think I'm moving next door to Pixie.....
After me!
less snow & cold and I am in too!!!
Picky, picky!!
I hear you guys! LOL How many house's can you fit on 15 acres?
BTW, i'd love to have friends like that, would make the week day meals so much more interesting.

I can say.. I never ate salt pork
Love it! It's sooooooo bad for me but I got to have it on my hot dogs.
