Maybe that's what I did wrong. I cut my lantana back to about 3 inches after the first frost that killed the foliage. Makes me sad to lose it because all 4 bushes were so beautiful last year and such a nice fragrance by the front porch. In the future, I will definitely put more mulch over it in the fall.
That is exactly what I did last year. I am not sure if my are gone, but don't remember seeing any growth when I was out at that bed the other day.
