DAILY BIRD PICS VOL. 397
Love that Mockingbird shot Dave!
An adult male Anhinga was over Cape May, NJ !! As you can see they are not normally anywhere near there.

Boy, this High Island sounds like a place I need to go!
Rose....herons are so gorgeous.
Red....I would love to see a scissortail!
Elphaba...WOW, Congrats on all your lifers!!
I haven't seen any of the grosbeaks today so I think they have continued on. The male Pileated showed up yesterday evening so I know he is okay for now. I was worried the hawk may have followed him .
A few shots from this past Tuesday. It was still rainy and overcast then so light is not the best. First up are a couple of cute Tufted Titmouse shots.
In the tree.........I was wondering, why they like apple sauce so much, instead of the fresh apples. And realized, they always come to my crabapples in the beginning of Spring, and I think it's because the fruit is softer after a thaw and easier to eat. so I partially cook one in the microwave today, and they ate it all. The fresh one I put out stays longer in the plate. The Robins don't mine them though.
edited to add.

That is very cool burn!
Nice ones nanny!
Wonderful shots Margaret! I love those handsome Mountain Shelducks!
Sorry for the lousy photo, but perhaps someone could this ID this unusual-looking bird -- it looks like a goldfinch, but has a stark white tail feathers? If it was an albino, I would think the whole bird would be white. Interesting. Anyone know what is going on here? Snug

Such an interesting group of photos. All different from what I see around here. Still too cold I think. It was 31 degrees yesterday morning, a little warmer this morning. Have had no rain, but lots of wind.
Donna
Very varied type of birds and nice to see migrating birds on their northward bound. Hi Donna, glad you are enjoying the thread as I do along with many others. I have been busy and haven't contributed much as far as birds pix. I saw two male Northern Cardinals chasing one another yesterday, I had to drop everything I was doing to capture some of their pix lol. Only caught one fella who landed on top of the shrubs.
Oh Gary! Congrats on their return! Beautiful photos!
