Mindy, I am so glad you are okay and still have your home. Sorry for all the work you have ahead of you cleaning up and understand your need to just stay home and out of the weather.

Glenna

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Mindy.....That is definately understandable, just thankful you and the family are safe.
Sorry I won't get to meet you, I am not going to Jacksonville this year. I would send the large bridal wreath spirea and other things by someone, but it is a lot to ask. I will try to keep it potted until the fall, maybe you can join us then. If anyone from here goes I would love the sasafras trees. Do you want me to send the smaller items along for you or wait for them in the fall?

Steadycam....I have several pots of frostweed not spoken for that are already loaded. Yes, loaded in my car in the garage. Hate sorting and loading in the rain! LOL!

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Ok-Cam I will put your name on one. :-D

Very smart Sheila! I'm staging in the garage too...

I've only been to the RU one time a while back, so please refresh my memory about the trade procedure once we reach the pavilion. Am I correct that we put the items that we have pre-traded under our table and the items that have not been traded beforehand go on top of table?

Thanks.

Lewisville, TX(Zone 7b)

I have also updated my trade list too

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Cindy, Mindy isn't going to be at the RU due to storm cleanup she's got to do.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Glenna, the items you've pre-traded you place under the table of the person you're giving them to. The stuff you have that's free for the taking or that you have to trade go on top of your table.

Lewisville, TX(Zone 7b)

Thank you Stephanie.... I am sorry to hear she's had damage etc.

Grandview, TX(Zone 8a)

I'll put your name on both Tina :)

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

I hope the rain holds off and we will have a good time.
Josephine.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Into the life of a true gardener a lot of rain must fall. I, for one, am thankful for it. I just put on my roasts, and decided to use the convection setting on my oven instead of the pressure cooker. It will warm up the house as the temps will be dropping all day long. The plants will get a nice boost after being dug up and potted, and seedlings will get their legs on.

I am past the age where I will melt, but I'm still bringing a raincoat jacket and layering my clothes. The pavilion has plenty of room for everyone who has been counted in so far.

I sure hope you all come... ooOO..(If Smockette is braving in so can I, lol). Doris would definitely melt, bc she's so bloomin' sweet, so tell her we'll miss her and give her a big hug OOoo

...It just may be one of the funnest DG Roundups ever, and I am looking forward to seeing everyone.

Our count again:
Debnes, Jackie, Madi (Jackie's friend), and Ben. That makes 4 of us.

Arlington, TX

Is there still construction all over the area? Last time I had a hard time physically getting there. Any suggestions? I take Cooper Street down.

As for cooking, I am not. I will stop and get a sandwich tray or something, I am just not motivated this morning.

I am glad for the moisture but because its going to be so cold tonight I had to move in a lot of plants and still have more to go. My kitchen is a muddy mess with plants all over the counters. Hope my husband can get to the coffee pot when he wakes.

See you all soon,
C

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

LOL!! Cheryl

McKinney, TX(Zone 8a)

Go south on Fielder from I-30 is the easiest way. Not sure about Cooper, think the construction is mainly completed around there.

I have everyone covered that asked for plants, and more like someone else said.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

I don't know how Cooper is north of 30, but from 30 down it is fine.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Cheryl~
You don't need to bring a sandwich tray, I am making enough to cover you.. And hoping none goes to waste as it is. (6 pounds of chopped Roast BBQ, and 4 dozen rolls).
If you want to bring a little dessert, or only yourself and trades. I am just glad you're coming.

Got ya covered!

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

We go 30 then south on Fielder too, just a few blocks until you turn right on Randol Mill. Park is on right 1924 West Randol Mill Road; then pavillion inside a bit on the left in the trees.

Arlington, TX

Actually Josephine I was talking about closer to the park, there was all kinds of construction around there last fall.

Thanks Deb but I will still bring something in case everyone does show up.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

There is one more round of storms advancing, hopefully the last one. If so, we should be in the clear by noon. Not sun of course and definately cool and windy.

Arlington, TX

That would be nice Sheila.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

3 of my group just chickened out... I will be coming alone. :-/

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

LOL! Not true gardeners! Time will tell as to what is going on. We may well get more. By 10:30 we should be able to tell if more thunder storms will be coming from the west. They had said last night most would be east of Dallas. That heavy rain is here now in SW Ft Worth....after it goes NE if none pop up we maybe in the clear.

Arlington, TX

If people chicken out it just means more plants to adopt LOL> like I need that!
