Maybe this was a typo kikisdad but it is Bisbee, AZ. I live in Tombstone just 26 miles North west of Bisbee. Strange little town wasn't it?
Where are the top 5 places you have visited?
Glacier Park, MT
Denali Park, Alaska
Niagra Falls, NY and Canada
Hawaii...anywhere.
Glacier Park
Denali Park...I liked them so much, I'm listing them twice!
I really LOVE everywhere we've been to! EVERYWHERE.
that includes Maine, around Lake Superior, Dominican Republic, lots of states, and Ixtapa, Cancun, Puerto Vallejo (?), Cabo San Lucas, Cozumel, all in Mexico.
I think if you decide they're wonderful...they are.
Hey Jan, I lived in Bisbee for a while, back when you could buy nearly any house in town for about $3,000. Very friendly people. Someone named Bear lived at the top of the hill and I think it was his house & yard that was fenced with the bedsteads from the "cribs".
It was a wonderous town and a wonderous time in my life. Between Tombstone and Bisbee the road went thru a tunnel and everything on the Bisbee side was a twilight zone of sorts.
Went back a few years ago. Things change. Mostly prices and the folks who can afford them moved on the folks of limited means who lived there when I did. The buildings and the quirky streets and the CCC stairs between the streets that stayed the same.
Hey folks, since you all like to travel, I wonder if you have read this thread http://davesgarden.com/t/439652/
I am sure you would place Chile among your favourite places after joining us in this adventure.
I have not been nearly as many places as I would like so I can only imagine the places I really want on this list. Hmmm... for now...
San Francisco, CA and the whole Bay area is probably my favorite. I first went there when I was 10, and I have been back twice since. I love the city, I love Muir Woods, Monterey, and loved Point Lobos Reserve when we last went.
Belize would probably be next. We were only their for 10 hours when on our cruise, but I want to go back for much longer. Amazing Reefs and Mountainous Jungles all in the same small country.
The Grand Canyon is Spectacular.
The Texas Hill Country, specifically 1340 through Hunt and the area around Vanderpool. It is my part of my home state, and really is a true presentation of the beauty of Texas nature.
I love NY City. It is the only other place I have chosen to go to more than once. It is just a place all it's own that everyone needs to experience.
Taos, NM, The Riviera Maya area of Mexico, Yosimite, the Redwood Forest, the Painted Desert, San Diego coast area, Tahoe, Ouchita Forest areas in Oklahoma and Arkansas, it's all beautiful.
