Marlton, NJ

Well if you google fledge it says that means still in the nest and if you google fledgling it says after they leave the nest.

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

We have a pair of Baltimore Orioles now!

Tigerlily, the Robin loves apples and grapes, and that's what he's coming for, in that feeder. I also added a bowl of apple sauce, I had in my freezer and the Waxwings just loves it.
Red, the Robins have been gardening up a storm, and are rewarded with some real juicy worms. ;)
Duc, I do so love your birds.especially the Oriole and Tree Swallows.

Interesting clip about an Osprey nest that shut down the ferris wheel at a carnival.

VA, Nice shots of the Wood Duck! Thanks for the video clip.

Good ones red!

Norman, OK

I always enjoy woodies! And with some rain the past few days, I think I know where I can find some. Maybe a little trip for woodies tomorrow.

A Savannah Sparrow in the backyard Desert Willow. I planted it for hummingbirds. It's not blooming yet, but they love it when it does. It's loaded with buds. But I have plenty of honesuckle and sage blooming for them.

Beautiful Wood Ducks!

Be sure to check the Eagle Cam thread. There is big news there.

The Audubon's is one of just a few warblers to show up so far. I was really hoping for the huge fallouts and variety I had at this time last year.

Donna, glad to hear you're cleared to drive and not use that cane, but be careful when you're walking.

Nanny, congratulations on the pair of orioles-they're sure pretty.

Burn, that's interesting that the waxwings are eating the applesauce. Cute photos of your dove, wp and junco.

Red, beautiful shot of dad bb going to the feeder. The leaving photo is fantastic too! That 7D is a good match for you. Love that s. sparrow picture!

WildRose, the wood duck family is wonderful-great one of dad!

Tiger, great shots of your birds, especially that Myrtle's.

I found this Lesser Goldfinch sitting on the lilac branch.

I was shocked to see still another Calliope Hummingbird here yesterday. That makes three for this month and the first year we've seen more than one.

This male House Sparrow continues to guard a birdhouse without there ever being a female. I feel bad for him and wonder if his mate has passed away.

I'd consider sending him to birdie heaven to be reunited with his mate. Just a thot.

Red, Thoughts like that are best kept to oneself.

Duc, Great shots of the Goldfinch and Green Heron.

Oh Nan! Two male on the feeder, one female above? How lucky can one get? I'm jealous.

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

wow Nanny. Grosbeaks AND Orioles! What a day for you.

Norman, OK

Love those grosbeaks. Wish we had those around here. Looked out at one of our HB feeders this afternoon and saw our FOS Baltimore Oriole. I have a feeder with grape jelly in the back yard, but he didn't find it. We are hoping he returns, we really don't have good oriole habitat in our yard.

lily...yes the female is above...sorry I didn't ID her as such!

A lot of new arrival for a lot of you, that's great!

Our Ospreys have arrived and nest building has started. This one's nest is to far for decent pic.

We've had a massive storm that went through area that left the State in Chaos. This sighting, on the other hand was wonderful to see. A pair of parent Canadian Geese and their gosling.

I have had my hummingbird feeder up for 4 days and no hummers, I am thinking maybe the regular and the hummingbird feeder are too close together, I took a picture to show just how far apart they are, yesterday I was sitting out before the rain and the male rb wp got on the round seed feeder and ate while I was there! That was closer than he has ever gotten.
