That looks great, Jo. Poor rhodies. Maybe they'll bounce back. Some of mine got some winter damage this year.

Karen

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I think they need iron. I spilled ashes in the area. Wind blew the bag away from me and dumped them on the rhodies. One died, I didnt think the ash would contaminate so far but lower leaves are going and the color doesnt look good.

Thomaston, CT

Quick....throw on some Miracid! You might save them.....

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I did water with Miracle Gro for rhodies a week ago. Cross fingers it is enough.
With all the rain weve had It should trickle down to the roots.

Brockton, MA(Zone 6a)

I have been starting perennials from seed for decades. Five viable plants came from one pack of mixed Pasque flowers (Pulsatilla) three survived the first winter. I moved two which died. The last one after 20 +- years.

bummer.. it's nice too

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I know!!! and it matched perfectly

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

here is something I didn't know

Divide hyacinth bulbs every three to five years, when blooms decrease in size and quantity. Dig the bulbs out of the ground after their foliage dies back. Separate the offsets that grew off the original bulb by hand. Replant immediately, or store them in a refrigerator until fall.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Gorgeous hyacinth, Jen. Bummer that it's gone.

Allison, I will have to take some time to divide mine. They're still looking good, but I'd like to spread them around some.
